Liberty Imports 15" Oversized Construction Truck Toys for Kids – 1:22 Scale Friction Powered Vehicles with Realistic Moving Parts (Excavator)

I bought this for a 4 yr old boy who loves construction toys. He plays very hard with his toys and it often involves crashes and thing falling down stairs. He recently got a few other toys similar to this and he breaks parts of them quickly. This excavator has held up to his abuse and the fighting over it between him and his 2 yr old brother. They love the toy and how realistic it is. I like that it can take the daily abuse and keep going. My 4 yr old will even take it to bed with him and carries it everywhere. I would recommend this to anyone searching for a larger sized excavator for a child. My 4 yr old requested one “that had a handle for the boom arm and was as tall as my belly” it’s not quite that big when extended but it’s close enough for him. It has been his favorite toy since he opened it.

I bought this for my son and he has been pretty hard on it. He does not treat his toys like garbage but he does play with them and it held up. Yes, the tracks fell off from time to time but he liked putting them on and off. He really enjoyed this toy and got a lot of dirt time from it. He loves playing in rocks and dirt/sand. It did slowly break down until it was not usable but for the what it cost and time he spent on it I will gladly buy another.

My son was vibrating with excitement after unwrapping this cement mixer. We showed him you could put dried beans inside for a 'realistic' mixing effect, and he was soooo excited. A little part- a side ladder, broke off in the first 24 hours, but otherwise, this thing seems sturdy.

Some context, my son has had many construction vehicles. He can be a bit rough, like most 3 year old boys are with trucks. I got this one for him for Christmas, based on the reviews I thought it was going to be good. The movement is great, the ease of use is there. Even the details are really neat, but the Materials and the plastics are quite flimsy though, and it makes me nervous about pieces breaking off. The piece on top of the little tank comes off and it’s an obvious choking hazard. If you are getting this for a 1,2 or even 3 year old I would say skip it. If the kiddo is older and over the choking risk and putting things up his nose phase then go for it. Also another thing that I don’t love is there isn’t a covering for the opening for the cement mixer barrel. My son keeps putting his small Dino’s into it and it drives me nuts. 😅

Gave this as a gift twice to a couple of boys just turning 3. It was the hit of both parties. It was the favorite of both boys. They each opened their gifts and went right back to the excavator and would not put it down. The only issue is that the tracks fall off and have to be put back on often. Toddler boys loved it!!

I contacted the seller before placing a negative review, and still haven't hear back, even after waiting a week. We received the truck and were instantly disappointed with it. For the price we paid, I'd expect a much higher quality product. The plastic seems cheaply made and the lower part of the truck easily clips off of the top part, causing the stabilizers on the truck to fall off. On many occasions the entire top half comes off of the bottom half. My LO isn't rough with his toys, but it does fall apart easily and on it's own. The truck itself has some nice features, but they don't function well for a young child. The dials are difficult to turn, and pushing/pulling the dials is hard for our son to do by himself. Often the dials fall off and need to be pushed back in place, causing my son to get frustrated and me to worry-in fear that my infant could find and swallow the small pieces. I would not purchase this brand or truck again, or recommend it to friends who are looking for trucks for their little ones.
