It was designed for a Monoprice Stage Right Tube Amp head but I am using it with my 6505MH head and it sounds fantastic. Plenty of volume on just 1 watt. I don't see a scenario where I would b have to use the full 20 watts because of the quality of the speaker. The V30 is the standard in guitar speakers. Especially for metal but is versatile enough to be used with almost any genre. And being a 1x12 semi-open back cab, your recording engineer or sound guy will thank you. Of course, a lot of this depends on your head, so I have run it with an Orange micro terror (tube) a Boss Katana (solid state) and a Fender Blues Jr and a couple of others. It makes 20 watts sound like 40 and so on. It's got a surprising amount of headroom. The stand my amp is on is not part of the purchase. This an absolute amazing buy I the price.
