Unlike other reviews, all the parts in my kit were accurately machined and thicknessed (11/16/2020)
I've seen versions of this as a DIY project for over 20 years, in various magazines (Fine Woodworking, Woodworker, etc), and always meant to build one, but never got around to it. So when I saw this I thought, let's just buy that and get it done.I do think it's darn expensive for what it is. Essentially half a sheet of cabinet-grade ply cut and dado'd to shape. That said, the dado pattern is fairly complicated with lot's of stopped dados, and in my case, accurate.I would agree that the assembly does require that you be quick and confident with your glue-up and screw-together. Have an acid brush to spread the glue in the dado's, put all the parts together and let it begin to setup, and then rotate the assembly on your assembly table so that you can quickly screw all those separators into the back and sides. It's not hard but you do need to be prepared. This is actually more like finishing up a piece of furniture than assembling a prebuilt kit. So to be successful I would recommend the following:0) Open the bag of screws and separate the big and little screws, use the little screws on the assembly, big screws to hang it on the wall. You don't want to be scrambling for the right screws when you're assembling.1) Think about dry fitting the whole thing first to see how it will all go together and to lay out your necessary tools appropriately (glue, brush, drill/screw-driver, the contents of the bag of screws)2) acid brush to spread the glue you lay down in the dados3) an assembly table with enough clear space to "roll" the assembly on its side so you can drive the screws on the bottom after you've glued it upAs mentioned above, let the glue set a bit before you roll it over to drive the screws. You want it firm enough to hold it through the roll, and wet enough to benefit from you driving the screws in tight. In all I'm pretty happy with this unit, it took about 30 minutes to assemble all in, and that's a lot less than if I had built it from scratch. Good luck and I hope I helped.Cheers.

Great addition to the shop
The drill organizer arrived super fast and was packed really well. All of the parts were milled perfectly and went together as they should with snug joints. The instructions were easy to follow and were accurate. I am very happy with the drill organizer and I doubt that I could have done any better myself and it saved me a bunch of time making one from scratch. Overall I am very happy with it. One thing to note, while it is easy to put together for anyone with some woodworking experience and basic tools, it is more difficult than your standard bookshelf primarily thanks to the dovetail joints. It does take some time and patience to get it assembled correctly without damaging/splintering the edges of the plywood, but that is to be expected.

Well Made Space Saver
Bought my father one of these for his birthday and was impressed enough that I bought one for myself. If you have several cordless power tools this thing will do you wonders.Be aware, you may want to have some clamps on hand to help with setting the wood glue. I’d also advise giving the pieces some light sanding to get rid of potential splinters. I gently went over every piece with a random orbital sander and some medium grit sandpaper and it smoothed out any rough edges. Total assembly took me a few hours, but that was allowing the glue to set and prepping the area I mounted it. All in all, I have been very impressed.

Worth the Money!
At first I thought "if I have enough tools to fill this shelf I should be able to build something myself" and I probably could have BUT by the time I bought all of the materials and spent a weekend "designing as I go" I know it wouldn't have looked this cool or worked as good. It's worth the money and when you assemble it you'll realize the quality and well thought out design. I also like how all of my power tools are in one spot now, I use to spend a lot of time looking through my garage for different tools. Now they are all in one spot. I'm buying one for my father-in-law and brothers for Christmas. Only thing I will do different is stain it before assembly.

I love it! Highly recommend
I got this around Christmas time I believe so far is has been holding up. It feels durable and the assembly instructions were easy to follow. It is a tight fit some pieces did require a little persuasion with a rubber mallet. And as the person in previous Review mentioned, I also added the extra screws in the middle, so thank for that.
