Mudder 5 Inch 8Hole Sander Pad Compatible with BO5010, Dark Blue, Dark Blue

After looking at a couple other backing pads, I settled on this one. It fits my 18V Makita Cordless Sander. It was quick to remove my old OEM backing pad which had lost all of its stickiness and enjoyed launching sanding discs accross the room. This new backing pad has bought my sander back to life, and is of a quality that matches the OEM one. VERY STICKY. Can't comment on the longevity of it yet as I've only had it for a few weeks, but if it can last a year of constant use then it will be on par with the OEM verison. Will update this review if it fails early.

Perfect replacement as sandpaper disc was not holding on to sander. Works as new now. Easy to replace- just 3 screws holds it. Remember to not discard the metal piece attached to the old sander pad as you need to transfer it to new one. Had accidentally discarded it but managed to find it in bin later-phew! Overall good buy

does not fit Erbauer sander

These fit my Makita and seem to work well with new sanding disks. What I noticed is they don't grip on to worn sanding disks which I have been using with the old damaged pad, where the disk has already been sliding around on the old pad. But I probabyl shouldn't expect that. Just test them with a good sanding disk.

Any apprehension I may have had concerning both the screw holes and the adhesion of the hook and loop were dispelled upon arrival of these two replacement sander pads by Mudder. I needed a replacement pad to fit my Makita M9204 which had long since lost its ability to hold on to the sanding discs and these Mudder pads turned out to be practically clones of the original branded parts, the difference being, this two pack from Mudder retails at roughly a quarter of the price. The adhesion power of these pads is excellent and I wouldn’t shy away from purchasing these again if need be. In summary, great quality pads with super adhesion and an absolute snip at 12 quid for two – thoroughly recommended.

My original head had lost its Velcro stick & these replaced perfectly. Great value & delivered quickly.

Ordered to replace the pad in my Makita orbital sander which had lost all its hooking power. Replacement is an exact match. Installation super simple. Just removed the three screws and swapped out the part. Delivered as a two pack so I also have a spare on hand should I need to replace again.

The original Makita pad lasted about ten years before sanding disks started flying off. My parts place wanted $49 for a new one. If the two of them last half as long, I'm still ahead. I only use industrial sanding disks. They stick to anything, so I don't know how well these pads will work with the cheap disks in the big box stores.
