These are a good value and seem to be plenty strong. Just be sure you're aware of the limitations of any auger. I bought these to secure a new shed. I knew I'd face challenges since we're in a forested area with rocky soil. Thick roots and rocks will stop these from going in fully. I was ultimately only able to get one fully sunk. The others went deep enough to do the job, but just be aware. Bad soil = Poor results.

I have used other stakes before and these looked like a great idea. I was working in dry clay and could get very little traction with auger manually. Not to worry, I tried the power version. Unfortunately, it delivered similar results. At the end of the day, a sledge and old fashioned stake would’ve been fasterHad the auger been stepped up in diameter rather than having just one section of wide diameter, this might have worked better.

I have used screw type anchors similar to these with anchoring "threads" that continue over half way up the stake so I was a little skeptical at first, but these stay in the ground decently for only having one rotation of "threading." They are easy enough to install using a cordless drill and have been holding up well anchoring our children's swing. I would definitely recommend this product.They work very well for relatively low cost which give them great value. The only thing that kept them from 5 stars is moisture had gotten trapped in the threads of the eye bolt and the top of the stake causing it to rust while in the brand new packaging. I treated it with a chemical spray and wire brush and it cleaned up fine.

...But could not for use on clay soils or beds with too many small shrub roots. Not very good penetration once it hits clay & pulls out too easily if there are too many roots that prevent the soil from being compacted. Ended up driving in 1" x1" x 36" treated wooden stakes at a 45 degree angle - difficult [think about the $$ you just wasted while pounding in the stakes] & ugly, but effective.

Too big for any of our drills and it didn't include an adapter. I tried hammering them in and then I couldn't get the screw top back on it. I could have gotten regular anchors for way cheaper. I was hoping these would work out but now their just collecting dust on my workbench.

Bought this to hold down out sunshade and potable Lou while on the beach. These dig in so well a northeast gale wouldn’t pull them out. A little tough turning them into the sand so I take a spade and dig a quick hole. They hold great.

Easy to get in the ground just don't try it with an drill with a battery pack it doesn't have enough power to drive the stake into the ground more than one turn. Great product Thanks

The top "bolt" of one of the anchors sheared off as I was screwing the anchor into my lawn. The other three anchors went in without a hitch. On the one that failed, the weld didn't appear to be that strong as only a portion of the top was actually welded on to the rest of the anchor--there was rust on a good 1/2 of the area that should have been welded. Will be looking at a different product to replace these.
