Used daily at work, 5 months on and working
I use this to make myself Basmati rice at work. We have no "kitchen" and few sinks to wash any dishes, so I bring this to make one pot meals with packets of salmon in oil. I eat about a cup and a half of rice at a time, and use a heat resistant plastic fork to eat it straight out of the cooker. The nonstick makes it very easy to clean up; Wipe out leftover debris, squirt in some hand cleaner, and scrub with another wet paper towel.( Update ) A few things I learned. I quit breaking up the rice with the included spatula without taking the inner pot out first, because it spins arouns a little bit in the cooker when you do it and shaves off some of the aluminum into the bottom of the cooker. I quit using plastic forks because they all eventually disintegrate and get plastic into the rice- Use a spoon instead, so far a MRE spoon is best. Let the rice sit for 5 minutes after it switches to "Warm" to make sure it absorbed all the water. Basmati rice takes 2 cups to every 1 and a half cup of dry rice.

Perfectly cooked rice in about 45 minutes
I only use Kokuho Rose, a short grain rice, so I can't speak to long grain or brown rice, but to me, it is the best rice cooker I have ever had. I'd think it would be equally effective for other types of rice.200g Kokuho Rose, 320g water, start, perfect rice in about 45 minutes (Test case, starting with 75ºF water took 46:30). Results is about 490g perfectly cooked rice from which I get two or three servings. There is nothing that I dislike about this product, and I suggest nothing better for a single person or a couple. For larger batches, I would use an Instant Pot with 600g rice, 910g water, Hi Pressure for 5 min., natural release. Perfect rice.Note. The instructions call for a bit more rice and water, which caused my rice to pile up a bit against the lid, and from which I arrived at my recipe of 200g rice and 320g water. Interesting that it lost about 30g of water while cooking. The Instant Pot loses almost no water while cooking.Yes, it takes longer for this appliance to cook rice than many other methods, but I find the ease of use and the consequences well worth the wait.

Small, cute, slightly leaky
Ok, so our old one cup rice cooker had seen better days and was scratched up to all hell so it was time for a new one. This one looked cute and was priced right, so we took a gamble. It does cook rice well enough, but there's no valve in the lid's breathing hole, so it spits out water along with the steam, which then tends to leak out from the hole. This wouldn't be so bad in and of itself, except that the lid has a directional gasket and ours came installed upside down. Needless to say, this meant that the lid didn't seal properly and the first batch of rice we tried making resulted in the rice cooker sitting in a puddle of its own water once it was done. Flipping the gasket around and trying again, it didn't leak the next time (except from the breathing hole, which sputtered water out along with the steam). I have to retract a star for the gasket thing along with the leaky blowhole, but the latter issue is not a deal-breaker and the former is easily fixable. Solid B+ effort.

Great for smaller solar generators single person rice maker
Low power consumption. It drawed about 91watts from my ecoflow river 2 . I have 64% battery after cooking starting at 99% battery. So it took 35% of my battery which is not bad at all. I can still charge my drone and my phones. It was a little under an hour to cook.I have the ecoflow river 2 and a 60 watt solar panel so I'm sure I could use this everyday for free of the power of the sunI'd say power usages per 1 cup of rice is about 93 watts per hour which like I said only takes an hour too cook anywaysI have 163 wh left of my original 256wh capasity

Perfect for Single people and portion control
I have a fancy rice pot, but I am single and usually only cook for one meal. My fancy rice pot required I cook several cups that I would just waste. Plus, I'm on a diet and rice is my kryptonite. If I wasn't wasting it, then I was eating it. I needed to be able to cook enough for one meal. So I searched for mini rice cooked and this was one of the options. I received it today, and it is very tiny and cute. I used the measuring cup that came with it and put 1 scoop into the pot. When it was done, I had the perfect amount of rice for one person to eat. I weighed it and it was a little under 4 ounces. There was room to have cooked more, but, like I said, I am trying to practice portion control. The rice came out perfectly cooked, and I am very happy with the purchase.

Very cute
This is the cutest little rice cooker! I’ve been searching for a rice cooker that’s good for 1-2 people. I have a 10 cup rice cooker that takes up a lot of space and I really just use that for when I have company over. This rice cooker is the perfect size for just me. As you can see, it doesn’t take up a lot of counter space, and it’s easy to tuck away. Rice cooks pretty quickly. So far I’ve only cooked a cup of uncooked rice (1 cup uncooked + 1 cup water) which I think makes about 2 cups? I don’t like my rice too mushy or too firm, but I found the 1-to-1 ratio perfect. It’s also very easy to clean, barely have to scrape any rice off the inner bowl and I no longer need to soak it in water. It comes off pretty easily. Cooking is fast, I haven’t actually timed it, but I’d say maybe 10 minutes or less for 1 cup? Anyway, I would definitely recommend this rice cooker. Yes, it cooks less rice but its a little more expensive... but you’re paying for quality. I’ve purchased a cheap 3 cup to 6 cup rice cooker made of poor quality material and didn’t last long. I’m happy with my purchase and think it was definitely worth it. Rice cooked perfectly and tastes so much better.

Non-stick surface is gone after a half a year
It was fine, but after less than half a year of use it was no longer non-stick and it became too hard to clean
