Ending had me cheering
Absolute richness of characters makes this irresistible. You’d swear you could reach out and touch them or smell their cologne (or paint, in this case). It’s so rare to find an author who can write a realistically nice guy as a hero, without turning him into a cardboard saint. But this author totally sucked me in with A very human and flawed hero and heroine. Plus her villain crept up so subtly that I didn’t even realize what was going on until halfway through the book and the who...dang! I didn’t guess until very near the end.If you want a totally unputdownable book that sucks you in and hate that it’s over, get this one. I’m amazed some producer hasn’t turned this author’s books into a miniseries that would make Downton Abbey look like amateur hour. They’re that visual, the characters are that irresistible, and the villain sneaks up on you so you never see him coming. I’ve bought the paperback because it’s going on my keeper shelf.I got the book day before yesterday and I’ve finished it already because I HAD to. Now I’ve got to go look and see what else she has coming out.

I've been re-reading, this is a series I am waiting for the next
Several years, I've been reading Grace Burrowes. She has, happily for me, written many books. I've got dang near all of them! I started re-reading The Loney Lords kept me locked, eyes glued to my screen, one book after another. How I enjoy visiting with each family member, lacing them together to enjoy each romance. There is Heat in each novel, and romance keeps you rooting for the hero and heroine to make it to the HEA. There are 80 or so romances lying in wait for you. You could pick up The Heir and continue with each book in order. But each romance stands alone. Oak caught my eye a few books back, Vera deserved a stalwart hero and Oak is that, and more. Highly recommended, Thank you Grace Burrowes.

Worst book of the last 4 books released
Grace Borrows has always been very poor at writing me and children. I have kept with her since the stories were quite entertaining and just overlooked the fact that men don't interact the way that woman do and certainly they don't blow kisses to their brothers or lay their heads against another man's back while emptying their soul. That being said, her writing has become tortuous to get through. Instead of making men more manly she has made the females helpless and simple minded.I am sad to say that this is the last Grace Burrows book that I will be reading.

Excellent.
This is part of a series, True Gentlemen. Each book is a stand alone read, but I loved reading them in order. Oak is an artist (yes he is named after a tree, his father was a botanist) and he takes a job to go through an art collection for a widow. Verity has a young son and a teenage stepdaughter. A lovely romance. Some sex. Included is a villain.

Love the Dornings
It's Oak Dorning's turn for romance and a lovely one it is. He's on his way to London via a short stop at the estate of widow Verity Channing to value at some of her late husband's art. Verity's charms convince Oak that perhaps the bright lights of London are not what he really wants, and the rest of the family rides to the rescue to help Verity from the machinations of one of her late husband's friends. The Dornings are such a nice family and so much fun to read about. Each of the many sons has a different interest and it was interesting to see art take the forefront here.Another great book from Ms. Burrowes.

Another Dorning bites the dust
Oak, the artist Dorning brother, has finally gone to work on restoring a Widow's art collection. Of course she's beautiful and is in a slightly precarious position. And of course Oak will step in to help. The name of the series, True Gentlemen, is really illustrative of all the Dorning brothers and Oak is a fine example. I love the descriptions of practicing seeing before he actually teaches drawing. And it's his clear sight and calm response throughout the book that brings them to their HEA ending. Never fear, a few villains lurk with a different plot twist to add spice. Great series.

Great Read!
I love Grace Burrowes' novels, and this is one of the best. You have to love the Dorning boys. The banter among the siblings is so much fun I found myself laughing out load. The main female character, Verity Channing, is easy to like. She is no victim. She is a survivor. She and Oak Dorning's love affair is not torrid but sweet and real. I loved this book, but then I love everything Grace Burrowes writes. Enjoy this one. Next volume in this series comes out this September and I'll be in line to buy it.

Another great Grace Burrows read!
I don't think Grace Burrows is capable of writing a bad book. Yet again, the people who populate her book are real, the story compelling and whether you read it in one sitting or dip in and out, you can't go wrong. For me, her books are always compelling and need to be read as soon as I get them. And, even if I end up re-reading one of her books, I always get pulled into the story and find something new to keep me reading.

Who Wouldn't Want to Marry Oak Dorning?
Oak Dorning is my favourite of all the brothers. He is gentle, kind and always knows what is needed. He can also be strong and masterful. He is an artist and I wonder whether the author is too as the descriptions of different colours seen but largely unnoticed is truly remarkable.I highly recommend this book.

Not to the usual standard
Slow dull and boring two people you cant be interested in . This excellent author rarely writes anything that isn't 5 star but everyone nhas the occasional bad day at the office and this was it .oh well better luck next time when we eventually get away from the trees.
