Normally we use the hose to wash the dog on the deck. But because our dog is a border collie collie. Refer has an outer coat and then an inner much denser waterproof coat. A lot of times the water from the hose would just not penetrate the second coat and it became difficult to get her underlying for wet. In this particular case, I had to use a medicated shampoo because of the skin issue and needed it to penetrate and I saw the Aqua Paw. It made sense since the nozzles had some depth that it would get down to the skin and underneath the dense coat. This proved to be extremely correct and the dog got wet down to the core so to speak. The other thing I noticed was I was using a whole lot less water just to wash the dog completely. My first glance at the Aqua Paul was that it looked pretty cheaply made. But let's say it's cheaply made like a pail and shovel at the dollar store and you know three of my different generations of kids of use shovel and pail. So I'm pretty amazed at how well it works and so far has been quite durable. The interesting thing is you can use full pressure on the hose and the Aqua Paw has a pressure reducer in it plus an on-off switch located in the center which is pretty cool. It's embedded into the Paw so it can hurt your dog in any way. The water comes up very gently in the thick shower so of fashion. And because it's got an adjustable wrist strap it stays on perfectly as you rub it on the dog like a brush. It's really easy and fast to use. After shampooing the dog using it again to rinse the dog it's a very thorough rinse. So again you're not using much water and it's getting the soap out quickly. The only issue I had was my hose on the deck had a female quick disconnect and the quick Paw also had a female quick disconnect porch and I had a little connector that reverse gender. Now for using this in a shower or a tub that shouldn't be anything of a problem because the product also comes up with several different connectors and multiple connectors all of which is quite convenient. Cons: honestly I don't have any cons and with a lifetime warranty, I guess of any issue comes up I won't have a problem

HOWEVER, I NEVER MIND PAYING A LITTLE EXTRA FOR A GREAT QUALITY PRODUCT AND THAT IS WHAT WE HAVE HERE ! BEST IN CLASS IN MY OPINION, NOW THE HUGE THING IS THIS , ANYONE THAT HAS A BACK ISSUES OR HAD ONE CREATED BY WASHING OUR LITTLE FRIENDS UNDERSTANDS PAIN ! MY BACK SOMETIMES DEPENDING DICTATES IF I WASH MY DOG WHEN I NEED TO. I MEAN THIS WASHER WORKS VERY WELL GETS SOAP OUT QUICK IT MAKES THE WHOLE THING QUICKER , AND SHE LOVES THE SILICONE FINGERS MASSAGING HER ! AND I KNOW MY DOG APPRECIATES IT TOO ! SHE HAS HIP PROBLEMS SO THIS IS A GAME CHANGING PRODUCTS , MAKES QUICK WORK OF PET BATHING NOT TO MENTION , ANYONE REMEBER ERGONOMICS ? I DO ! I rarely write reviews on Amazon but was compelled to heap praise upon the Aquapaw. Our mini husky hated bathtime and as parents we hated the process/time-consuming nature of it. This truly has made it so so so so so much easier and faster. This tool really minimizes the noise and commotion of a running bath and as a result makes the bath process much less stressful for the dog. It also is super easy to use (at least for our little guy) without one of us having to get in the tub with him. Previously we'd have to get in with him, partially fill up the tub, and then use a container to scoop water over him. This allows me to stay outside the tub and basically give him a warm water massage and it basically works as a scrubbing brush too. This tool also helps quite a bit with loosening up excess hair if you have a shed-heavy breed -- just be sure to use a fur removal brush in a contained area immediately afterwards otherwise your dog will be shedding the loosened fur excessively for a few days. Because of how easy this is to use I'd also say it's made us more receptive to giving baths more often instead of being tempted to put them off for another few days. The only downsides I've noticed so far: 1) installation was a little tricky and slightly more detailed instructions/picture tutorials would have been nice when trying to figure out where each little piece goes. Either way, it was still pretty easy to figure out even without the details. 2) this reduces the water pressure quite a bit and I can see it being tougher and more time consuming to fully bathe a larger dog since water isn't coming out from the jets very rapidly. 3) The hand strap could be a little longer. I have it on the largest/most-extended setting and it is pretty tight when I put all 4 fingers in there. I don't even have what would be considered large hands so just be warned you may have to use it without being strapped onto your wrist or with only 3 fingers in the loop. Overall I'd still totally recommend this and I only wish I had found out about it sooner!
