I bought this product along with Garam Masala and Coriander powder. We ordered these because they state they are Gluten free. My wife has Celiac disease . so we have to be extremely careful about gluten. I was just about to use them when I noticed a very small sticker that stated the product was processed on machinery that was also used for wheat , nuts and other products. That should be stated in the add on Amazon. That is very deceiving at the very least, and very dangerous at most. That is NOT GLUTEN FREE! Anyone that has allergies fear these two words CROSS Contamination!

I make my own homemade chai, and I've tried several brands of black cardamom, but this has turned out to be the very best of the bunch. When I crack the shell, what comes out are still fresh, not totally dried out, and I can taste the difference in my chai. My husband, who notices very little, commented, when I made my first batch of chai w/ this cardamom, that it was my best batch ever. I've finally found the brand I'm going to stay with!

The flavor of Rani black cardamom pods make a huge difference in Eastern Mediterranean type dishes. Make sure to only use what the recipe suggests since the flavor is very strong. So, more is not necessarily better.

I bought this to experiment with. The price is a bit steep, but I can't argue with the results. The flavor and aroma is deep, distinct, and pleasant. My favorite use so far is in slow-cooked rice pudding. Add 3-4 whole pods to the cold milk and let them swell and burst during cooking, then fish them out at the end.

The quality of this black cardamom is so exquisite that the floral and pure smokey notes come through vibrantly with hints of caramelized traditional cardamom.

Seems nice and fresh and so much easier than picking seeds out of the green pods by hand! I grind this pretty fine in my spice (coffee) grinder. Ground about two thirds of the package and got two spice bottles full. I'm going to try toasting the remainder like I do whole pods and see how that goes.

These pods were very small compared to other brands. Perfume and taste were great though.

Vorab: Das war meine erste Begegnung mit diesem Gewürz.Mit war wichtig das die Kapseln trocken sind, denn Feuchtigkeit sorgt fast immer für eine unerwünschte Bakterienzucht die dann in Fäulnis endet. Außerdem wurde mir das Gewürz aus mehreren Quellen mit einem erdigen, Duft beschrieben.Beide Kriterien waren hier absolut erfüllt. Die Kapseln sind trocken, riechen intensiv und erdig-gut. Die Kapselgröße könnte man nun zur Diskussion nehmen, aber Naturprodukte unterliegen nun mal immer einer gewissen Wachstumsschwankung die sowohl Regional als auch Artenbedingte Unterschiede mit sich bringt.Bin ich zufrieden? Aber ja!Würde ich wieder kaufen? Sicher!Wofür benutze ich das Gewürz? Ich mache Chili-Öl damit ... und mit dem was übrig bleibt, werde ich einige Asiatische und Indische Gerichte ausprobieren :D
