That, however, was an easy fix: get yourself some good fabric glue (the kind that you can use for rhinestones and that you should have in your sewing box anyway), put a dot down where you want the eye to go, place the eye on the dot (don't move it too soon), and everything's fine. This would make a terrific gift, but don't forget to give the recipient a tube of fabric glue LOL! Big bonus: while you will be sewing the birds, tree, and bird houses together with all six strands of embroidery floss in the giant plastic needle, you will no doubt end up with extra floss that you can use for other projects. The felt is sturdy and colorful. Die cuts are absolutely, spot on, accurate. Needle holes are evenly spaced and cleanly cut. You receive a package of full skeins of embroidery floss in multiple colors - way more than you actually need. The birds, birdhouses and tree are a nice size, perfect for little hands. (See photo for relative size laid out on a one inch square grid.) In the end a six year old was able to do most of these on her own. Younger children would need more assistance but could still enjoy this craft. If you are an adult and need some cute birds to decorate a classroom or Sunday School room, this would be perfect.
