I absolutely love this item. It keeps my coffee, tea and soup at the perfect temperature. It has 3 settings. Mine is usually on high, however the highest setting is perfect for me. It is hot but not scalding. I highly recommend this product.

I bought this item based on the video(s), both of which showed the item with a numerical digital display of the temperature. Be aware that that is not a feature of this item; it has the simple "HIGH / MID / LOW" that is displayed in the photographs - disappointing, but functional. Other than that, the warmer seems to work well and warms quickly.Also, in less than a week, the price of the item has dropped by $3.00. Amazon doesn't offer a price match or guarentee (even for items that were sold on their own site). They would rather I return and reorder the item at the lower price... this seems inefficient and would cost Amazon more than the $3.00 difference, but if that's how they want to do this, then so be it. I couldn't find anywhere on the the Amazon site to make this suggestion, so I hope their 'bots are reading reviews...UPDATE: After using the mug warmer for more than a week now, I’m happy to report that it works very well. Beverages stay warm, and I particularly like the safety feature of turning off when it senses there is no mug on the warmer. It also works well heating candles.Also, someone must have been listening, because the $3 difference has been refunded.I would definitely buy again.

I needed this for my candles cause lighting them and having to snuff out the fire with the smell afterward would give my husband a headache. This allows us to enjoy the candles that I have passively collected without the headache. I also use it to keep my hot chocolate warm as well so it is a win-win all around in my household. Would recommend it if you seek something simple to use for candles or to keep your drink warm.

The replacement unit I ordered was also defective as the button kept getting stuck under the wood grain top plate, just poor design.

I've only had the pleasure of using this lovely device once, but boy was it enjoyable. I love a good cup of coffee to start my mornings. Usually, I get a bit side-tracked when waiting for it to cool from 208 degrees F to a drinkable temperature, and only get a few sips before it's tepid and cold.This little warmer changes that! Personally, I've been loving the middle heat setting, I believe it's 130 F. The mug bottom does get a tad warm, so you need to be careful to not touch it directly, same as the plate itself. But otherwise it kept my coffee to a lovely temperature where it was warm for each and every sip, top to bottom!I also love the safety feature with the gravity switch, so if your coffee cup is not on the plate, it shuts off and discontinues heating! No need to worry about anything overheating.If you're like me, and desire to keep that coffee nice and hot, this is a great device!

I have a very, very old Betty Crocker mug warmer (pictured) that I have been using in my breakfast room for decades. It has an on-off switch, a red light that tells me it’s on, and it automatically shut off at 4 hours. Nothing fancy. Works perfectly with every mug I own, none of which are flat-bottomed.When I began working from home last year, I wanted a warmer for my home office. Settled on this one, as I couldn’t find another like my old faithful Betty Crocker! What swayed me to this one was combination of the 4-hr shut off, whereas many others shut off much sooner; the lack of a weight requirement to turn it on or keep it on; and the higher temp, since I like my beverage hot. Not burn-my-tongue hot, just a pleasant, drinkable, swallowable hot.I find it very hard to turn this warmer on. Sometimes one hard press of the on button works; sometimes it takes 3 or 4 hard presses. A light touch is simply ignored. Then I set it to the hottest temp (3) (also not a simple task), and I’ll look down 20 minutes later, and it has drifted down to 2, or even to 1. All by itself. So the temp control won’t consistently stay where I set it. Some days, though, it stays right at the 3 I left it on the day before. And it just doesn’t keep my favorite mug warm like old Betty Crocker does, yet it’s warming plate area is exactly the same diameter. Maybe Betty heats to a higher temp; I dunno. I DO know that I broke down and tried 2 different “flat bottom” mugs from Amazon, and neither had a bottom any different or flatter than MY mugs (bottoms of my 2 favorite mugs are shown above) and neither mug kept my beverage any warmer than MY mugs. Returned both “flat bottomed” mugs.Bottom (ha!) line: this warmer doesn’t keep my beverage hot, but doesn’t let it cool all the way to room temp, either. I’d estimate it keeps them “tepid.” Changing mugs won’t help. I’m keeping the warmer because none of the others I investigated will heat as high as this one, so I figure this is the warmest of the lot. And I’ll be looking for a Betty Crocker warmer on E-Bay, I guess.
