FortiflexFlat Back Feed Bucket for Dogs/Cats and Small Animals, 20-Quart, Hot Pink

I got this bucket because I had another, very similar (probably just an earlier version of this, purchased several years ago) to it. The old one is still working fine, despite tiny cracks near the top (after over a decade, what do you want?) that might diminish it full capacity by 1/4 inch or so. I have two dogs, one a very large lab, the other a medium sized terrier mix. The smaller terrier is named Jynx.I was keeping three 5-gallon buckets outside, on a covered patio, for their water, which held them, always, just fine for 4 days or so when I would leave home. But I noticed that the other two buckets were considerably taller and (naturally) more narrow. But it was the taller part of it that concerned me. Boss (the big dog) would have no trouble lapping the last drops from the tallest buckets. But Jynx would, definitely, start having problems getting at the last few inches in the bottoms of those taller buckets.I rarely allow any of them to get low enough so that would be a problem; but, late last year, I was coming home from a 3 day trip, due to arrive about 1:30 p.m., or so, when I had car trouble and was delayed by more day before I could get back home. When I got home two days later, the dogs were into their 5th day of water from the three buckets. I noticed the two taller ones still had water in them, deep down in them, still barely accessible to Jynx; but the shorter bucket was dry.So I started looking again for another bucket like the old one everywhere I shopped, I looked. I'd originally purchased it at PetSmart, but they'd stopped carrying it; and, look as I might, I couldn't find another like it in stock, anywhere. Then it occurred to me to check on Amazon. There it was. I purchased it immediately. I couldn't be happier.They've never been left alone as long as when I made that trip and had the car trouble, but they were well into their fourth day when I returned from a recent trip a few days after adding the new bucket. Not only were none of the buckets anywhere near empty (one wouldn't expect that anyway with 1/3 more water and less time lapsed), but their usage from the buckets was more evenly distributed than previously; which certainly suggests to me that in an unexpected, unavoidably lengthened absence in future, Jynx would have plenty of water for more than just the 1/3 longer that the increase in water alone ought to ensure.

Well made, sturdy bucket. Use for my horses grain.

I have Fortiflex buckets that I used with my horses as a child. They are now 25 years old and look great!!! If they still make them like they used to, this is one of the best products of all time! Haven't bought one recently, because I no longer have horses, but I saw them at my parent's home (they used them around the garden) and had to praise these buckets.
