Have these studs been treated with some kind of rust preventative? I want to use them on a boat trailer that used in saltwater.

Not sure, but the one I have does not rust.

They are steel. All steel will rust. Paint it, chrome plate it, do what you will. Eventually they will rust. Rust out? Probably not in your lifetime.
