I've mostly just not bothered anymore with retying them. The towels down fall apart, it's just the tassels that are frayed. What I found though is that they fall apart the faster my spin cycle is. You can wash them in a delicates bag or just put them on low spin (or no spin if you want to hang them dry) **Q: Are these actually made in Turkey?** A: We are the original Nature Is Gift towel sellers. We are buying from Turkey and also from India. All Our Organic Cotton towels are made in India. It dries so fast which is great for a day by the pool or beach. It seems to be as absorbent as regular towels. It's also larger than standard beach towels so it makes a good cover up or blanket. It folds or rolls up pretty small which is great for space saving in your beach bag or luggage. I haven't put it through the dryer as I've read that might not be good for these. So far the quality seems nice and durable.
