*UPDATED*Better than expected. Torture test will find the flaws.
My initial thoughts on this flag (Tough-Tex model) is that the quality is better than I expected. The material feels sturdy and was even stiff prior to flying. Color is superb! My plan is to abuse this flag to failure on back of my truck from 5-70mph on a 7' pole mounted in a hitch mount I bought here on Amazon. I've already been on two trips at speeds up to 60mph, and I'm afraid I'll snap the 1 1/2" sch.40 PVC conduit before the Annin flag fails. So far, the fly end has softened up from previously being stiff. Threads are still holding strong. On one side the stripes do not match up perfectly as someone else pointed out here, but that's so the stitch doesn't overlap other stitches. I'll update this review, so far, so good. *UPDATE* Well, my concerns were well founded. The PVC pole I fashioned to attach the Annin flag to snapped today, 10 days into the test. Couldn't have happened in a worse place, and by the time I got turned around (literally almost 8 minutes), someone had picked it up. I searched for about 30 minutes. Torture time: 10 days consisting of ~4 hours at 70+mph, ~4 hours 60-69mph, ~8 hours 50-59mph, ~12 hours 10-49mph. One of my trips was into a 30mph headwind at 70mph, literal hurricane force winds. Yesterday evening, the flag showed minimal wear considering the abuse. 1 of the 4 fly hem threads snapped, the hem itself had negligible fray, and both the top and bottom fly hem corner had thread that had come loose, but the hem and stitches were still intact. No sign of wear on the grommets, just some stretching of the fabric from force of the wind. Honestly I'm super impressed. I'm incredibly disappointed to have lost this extremely well made flag. I'm so impressed in fact that I ordered 3 more Annin Tough-Tex American flags today, as well as a US made comparable competitor with the intention of doing a head-to-head test. I also got an Annin Texas flag, I'll do a separate review on that one. As it stands now, this is the best American made US flag you can buy for the money. Period. *I DO NOT work for, or in any way am associated, affiliated, or contracted by Annin and I WAS NOT compensated for this review*

TEN STARS ! THIS is the flag you should buy. Dont waste your money on anything else.
Army Veteran here. WOW! This is the BEST flag I've ever bought, and I've been flying 4 x 6' flags on a lighted pole in my yard for 38 years. (In the Midwest, Utah, and the Arizona desert). I've tried at least 15 different kinds, from various makers, and most often buy inexpensive ones (about $20) on Amazon, because I like the larger size and they can get pricey. In the last 8 years, here in Phoenix, mine have to contend with 120° heat, scalding full-sun, monsoon rains, our horrid "haboob" dust storms, and often 40-70mph high winds. I usually need about 4 flags a year because those brands shred at the end seams and fade within 3-4 months. In October of 2024, I decided to try this Annin Tough-Tex polyester flag. It cost me close to $60, but I thought, "What the heck, let's see if it will hold up any better" Well, today it's been flying a few days shy of 10 months. About a month ago I noticed the colors weren't as bright and thought, "I'll need to get a new flag before too long." (I refuse to fly a faded US flag). Two days ago, we had the worst dust storm with monsoon rain in 14 years and I wasn't home to take down my flag. It was so full of desert sand and dust that the white stripes looked tan. I took it down to shake out all the dust and noticed ONE 3" long tear, where the fabric had been worn, near the center of the flag. The center! Not like usually where flags fall apart, out at the ends, or a seam went bad. This has been a fabulous, durable, bright, well made flag for the cost; well worth the investment; and a better buy than the less expensive ones. I'm ordering my new one today! Thank you Annin Flagmakers for truly making a great product you can be proud of.

Exceptional quality product 👌
Excellent quality great looking flag and well made. Will see how it holds up in the rain and winter weather, the flag is very well made and the quality is above the other flags i have previously purchased. So far more than satisfied !

Vibrant and durable
Nice flag with beautiful colors. The colors stay pretty decent after a year of use, but by the end of the 2nd year, it's time for a new one. That's fine by me. It looks better than the nylon in my opinion, and I've had both. And the nylon fades just the same. I have a rotating tangle free pole and my flags have not ripped. I've owned at least 3.

Toughest we've flown, but still fades.
We have flown the Annin Tough-Tex 4x6 American Flag for one year, 24-hours a day. It has only been taken down a few times due to extreme wind conditions, otherwise it has tolerated the sun, rain, heat, cold and snow in Pennsylvania. We did have to make minor repairs to the upper seam and upper outside corner where all flags take the most abuse. The only real complaint is how much this flag has faded - in streaks. The "fade resistant" feature is somewhat better than other flags we've flown. So the flag loses one star for the fading and us having to perform minor repairs after about ten months. Not a fan of this flag being twice the price of other flags, but we're getting more than twice the useful life and it still looks better than some other flags do after just a few months. UPDATE - After 16 months from original raising, we have replaced the flag with a new one. We bought the same flag and added a picture to show the fade difference after 16 months. It is a very good flag, but still only get four stars due to the fading and necessary minor repairs.

Amazing Flag that stands up to wind and heat
This is an amazing flag!! It stands up to the high winds in the Southern California desert like no other. I have purchased flags every year for several years. These flag last 12-14 months rather than the 3-4 months of their competitors. My only negative comment is the significant price increase this last year. The flag cost $25 last year but increased to $40 this year. I still purchased several flags again the year for myself and my mother, as I do every year. Since the flags are Made in the USA, there shouldn't be the tariff excuse used by others. Thank you for manufacturing a quality product in the USA

Annin flags are the best!!
To put it very simply, Annin makes the best flags available. They stand up to the wind and rain and are the most fade resistant flags on the market. I have tried a number of different brands in the past and none of them even come close to the Annin for durability.
