Well made, works great
To be fair, I ordered online to stay out of the anti-masker supermarket where I usually buy this product. I've been hooked on Summit Tea bags for many years now and I was delighted to find them at Amazon. I use the bags to make tea -- but also for making one cup of coffee at a time in the same manner. I'm not a coffee snob; making it tea-style works for me. The bags are strong, the strings work properly, and there's no flavor from the paper: just right.

A good way to explore the world of tea and herbal beverages
It has been several weeks since I purchased these tea bags. I have experienced none of the problems that other tea bag reviewers had mentioned. No bag has broken and I just need to wrap the draw string around the cup handle to keep it from falling into the cup. They work well and are well made. Being a long time coffee drinker (and an enthusiastic one), I bought them because I wanted to start drinking less coffee. Tea seemed a healthier alternative, although the already packaged teas in grocery stores had never captured my interest for very long. Buying loose teas (which are much more flavorful than the packaged ones, I have discovered) and bagging them myself opens up a host of possibilities. I can now better control the strength of the tea and am no longer limited to previously bagged blends. I can mix my own blend if I desire, including the use of some herbs and spices already in my spice rack that possess positive health benefits. In that regard my creative interest has been stirred. All because of a useful little bag. Life is full of small surprises.

Nice bags, but size is massive....
These are nicely made bags, and well-packaged, but pay attention to the size noted in description. They are massive! And really way too big for a cup of tea. Fine if you're making a pot of tea, but way too big for just a cup. I'll use them up, because it was my fault for not paying attention to the description, but will look for something smaller next time I purchase. I prepackage several teabags at one time so they are ready to go when I want a quick cup, but these take up a lot of space in my tea chest!

Uses other than tea
I did not purchase these for tea. I have been using little cloth bags for my herbs and garlic when making soup, I do not like bits of herbs floating around my soup. Tried my first Summit Tea bag today and it held up very well to the simmering soup. Help quite a bit of herbs, a mixture of fresh and dried, a couple of peppercorns and my freeze dried garlic. Nothing escaped, I took out with a slotted spoon and am very happy with the results. Much cheaper than the little cloth bags and cheap enough that just tossing out after the soup is made is fine with me.My other project....I have a worm bin. I dry the castings and put in these bags about 1/3-1/2 full, give as gifts and keep for myself, put a bag in a watering can, wait a day and feed my plants. This is a wonderful natural plant food, high in nitrogen and trace minerals. Need to dilute big time or it is too hot and hurts tender roots.

Makes my life so much easier and tidier!
I make big batches of loose leaf Fresh Green Yerba Mate frequently...and it can get messy pouring the leaves from the bag into mesh tea balls, which unfortunately sometimes allow the leaves to seep out into the tea.....but these bags alleviate that problem. I also like that these are brand name tea bags...it makes me feel less nervous about their origins/composition.

Practically perfect product
Huge loose leaf tea drinker so I was looking for a drawstring bag that is ALL natural, biodegradable, easy to use yet sturdy, and doesn't add any unwanted flavors in my tea. THIS IS IT! I ordered this brand and another brand...by far, the Summit Tea bag is the winner. The bag comfortably fits a large amount of loose leaf tea, leaving lots of room for leaf expansion. It closes easily (the other brand did not) and the tea leaves stay securely without floating out. Unlike the teabags that do not have a drawstring closure, there are no liquids dripping out as you steep your tea because you don't need to leave part of the bag hanging out of your cup. Most importantly...there are no undesirable and potentially harmful materials in this bag.LOVE this tea bag and if you're a loose leaf tea drinker, I guarantee you'll love it, too.

Great tea bags that can fit 4-5 tsp loose tea
These are great I like that they have a pull string on the tea bags .

Useful, but not perfect for me
I like these well enough, but I hate how the string wicks up tea and spills it around my cuppa. I wish there was a smaller size, as I don't need this much space for my teas. These have enough room to use in a 16 oz teapot, and I only want a cup's worth.I bought these because I wanted to try drawstring bags (and I needed more filters), and I found out they aren't really for me. I like to make many tea bags at home to store in a container at work. Using the drawstring made the bags too big and challenging to store after packing them with tea.I ended up loading them with tea and rolling up from the top down and closing with one staple. When I do that, the string isn't as long, the bags lay flat against each other when I store them, meaning I can store more, and the whole thing is easier to deal with. remove the staple, and you can compost it.No paper taste!
