It is June 2021 - About 1yr & 3mos since serious Covid events kicked in here in the USA. At some point - much sooner than I feel is safe - many will be/are having to return to work in person and have begun to be maskless and not social distance. I am not on board with that, especially with the new extra contagious variants. I need a solution that can be easily worn for several hours continuously with an additional cloth mask over it. These masks appear to be a key to that solution for me. They arrived in the shiny cardboard box as what appears in the listing. Inside of that was a plastic bag containing all of the masks. They all appear to be clean and fresh and new. I pulled one out to test and it feels of a proper thickness for a 4-ply mask. It does have the manufacturer's stamp on it. The ear loops are soft & pretty roomy, so if you have a smaller head, you'll want to get some of the ear savers or something of the sort to stretch these loops tighter around your head to avoid gap-age. The mask covers a great portion of my face and easily goes under my chin. I would say it goes past the distance of each eye across my cheeks. The nose wire is stout enough to mold as needed, but not too tough to cause any pain/irritation. Note - it is a flat piece for the "wire" so it forms to your face better. As with pretty much all masks that are not gasketed/n95's, there will be a little bit of "bleed out" of air escaping near the glasses area. I'm hoping that with the secondary cloth mask over this that will help cut that down further. It's also possible that other people's noses will not have the same challenge. Overall really happy with these and am ordering more while the price is still of a reasonable nature. I have not had to wear them for long amounts of time, I will update if something is significantly reportable. May you all stay safe and healthy! :) Update - I wore one walking for a couple of hours outside, it stayed in place great, I used an ear saver thing to pull my mask tighter over my face. It was very comfortable. Hard to tell about the fogging goggles as it was super humid out. Overall extremely pleased with these. I have ordered more.

I have been using these masks since July. Back then, it was very expensive but wanted to have the most protection possible. I can't verify that it is an ASTM Level 3, but you just have to take their word for it. The mask is made in China, but before the pandemic, 80% of all medical masks used here were made there, so I have to assume that it is good. The mask is thicker than most and it is 4 ply. I have cut them up to make sure it was 4 ply. It does sometimes fog up your glasses but mostly indoors for a short period of time. I also water tested it and it resists and holds the water into beads with no seepage. It is soft and comfy. There is a cotton-like smell when you first put it on but it disappears on your third breath. As few have mentioned, the outer stamped areas may be a little itchy/scratchy, not all of them. Just run your nails across it a few times and it softens up. I guess when it is pressed into shape, it might have left rough surfaces. The mask fits me fine, comfy, and full but one of my family members says that it is a bit too big on them. When I talk, at least for me, it stays up and does not pull down like few others that I have tried. For all the masks I tried, this mask gives me the most comfort and confidence.

Good quality, but these masks are a little big for my adult, female face, which leaves too much of a gap on the sides.

I'm extremely happy with this mask. I've compared these by PlastCare to my old, unbranded, 3-ply surgical masks. And these are unquestionably, hands down better. 1) They're 4-ply instead of 3-ply 2) One extra layer actually feels a little thicker, more secure on the face - without compromising breathing 3) You can pull on the ear loops and they don't tear away from the mask - they're also flat instead of round, which feels more comfortable 4) Cutting both masks open, I can see that the layers on these are slightly denser, with more "honeycombing" (which is better for trapping particles) 5) The layer that goes next to the face is much softer on these - in fact, very soft 6) There is no weird smell to them when you first put them on (like there is with the others) 7) While wearing this mask, I can't smell exhaust fumes from idling cars I walk past -- but I could with the other. 8) They're provided by a 5-year family owned company whose entire, original business is dental supplies - including masks for dentists and other products of infection control TIP for all surgical masks: I tie a knot at the end of each ear loop for a much better, closer fit to my face.

I've ordered The Guardian PlastCare USA 4 Ply ASTM Level 3 Masks in the blue color several times since the beginning of Covid four years ago. Each box arrived with all 50 masks bundled and sealed in plastic, placed inside the box. This latest order of pink masks delivered with the outer box torn and the masks inside the box were loose with no plastic wrapping. I emailed PlastCare USA and they advised packaging guidelines no longer allow for masks to be enclosed in plastic barrier, now that we are in Post- Covid pandemic status. My husband works in healthcare and he confirms that recent bulk deliveries of masks come without the plastic covers. I have worn the (pink) masks and the quality is the same as before: the 4 ply gives added protection and I continue to double loop the ear supports for a snug yet comfortable fit. The Guardian 4 ply level 3 masks are of superior value and worthy of continued use, in my opinion.

These are high quality medical grade masks. Very comfortable. Band around nose edge is flexible and not too stiff like others. Can be perfectly bent to shape leaving no gaps. Soft to touch. Feels good on face.

The masks were open and falling out of the box when delivered. Completely unhygienic for something that has to be used on face. They are so expensive yet unusable as they were packed in an unsanitary manner
