This is an impressive portable with superb sound! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A decent little radio with decent RFI rejection. *by J***N on April 30, 2026* After struggling for *25 years* with clock radios just for casual listening around the house, this radio put the last clock radio in the trash. Everything around my home is high RFI for some odd reason. Power lines, local amateur radio operators (including myself), even the washing machine (don't even try AM if someone is doing laundry). i was about to give up on listening to AM radio because of the interference and FM because of the cheesy wire antennas that are as useful as a wart on a pickle. This radios gets beyond that. FM reception is clear and consistent, AM (MW) reception is nearly free of noise (even when doing laundry). Some sort of (I assume a capacitor, because I don't have batteries in it) gives it enough standby juice to keep everything in memory with power loss (or moving it from outlet to outlet and room to room) as long as it's not powered up. The old clock radios needed to be reset even with the most minor power glitch. Why not 5 stars...? Two things, both concerning the display, could use a tiny bit of improvement. [1] The light doesn't stay on when the unit is active. It would be nice if it could stay lit (maybe a menu in a future release?). And when listening, the active frequency is displayed at all times. I know what frequency I'm listening to - It would be great if that defaulted to a clock display after (5 seconds, 10 seconds, whatever). Basically any adjustment (volume, tuning, etc.) activates that light. That's a bonus, but it would be nice if it would stay lit for a minute instead of just a few seconds. And defaulting to a clock view instead of a frequency view just seems more sensible. That said - this is meant to be a radio that happens to have a clock, as opposed to a "clock radio" so this is just a wish list. Shortwave reception is good but dependent on signal strength and propagation as would be expected. The audio is obviously "small" sounding but again, as would be expected.
