It was a simple keepsake gift that had my wife smiling from ear to ear. Secondly, there was nothing flimsy or lacking with the quality of the rose. The packaging ensured it would arrive unmarred (a box within a box plus Amazon's packaging). The gold box was presentable and inside the rose was nestled within a classy padded cradle Men, when it comes to picking gifts we usually struggle but this is one gift that delivers. I bought this for my wife for our 20th anniversary. She loved it. It is a really beautiful rose. It's very sturdy too. I thought it might be flimsy or fragile but it's got some weight to it and looks like it will last a long time. I wouldn't recommend dropping it on the ground or letting your kids play with it but as long as you are at least somewhat careful with it, it should last a lifetime. It comes packaged in a nice box that is gift wrappable. Inside it is encased in spongy material. The inner box is sealed in an outer box packed with fitted styrofoam. It arrived at my place in perfect condition. This is probably not the kind of thing you would buy often but if you have a celebration coming up (especially any kind of 20th anniversary as platinum is for the 20th), this is a good choice.

Very well packaged. Seems to be very carefully dipped in something. I can't really believe that it is platinum. The expense would far exceed the selling price. But, I do believe it will get my point across. I bought it to give to my wife as a symbol of my undying love for her. The note included "until the last petal falls from the head of this rose".
