All Aboard!: Elijah McCoy's Steam Engine (Great Idea Series)

This series does something unique in that it describes very practical advances in technology and engineering made by people you've never heard of, including some minorities and women. My grandkids, who are first and second graders, were quite intrigued.

The teacher I purchased this for said it's a great book!
