Hermes Terre D'hermes Eau de Toilette Spray for Men, 3.3 Fluid Ounce

Guys, this one is special. I smelled a sample at Nordstom and got online and ordered this that same day. First of all, make sure Amazon is listed as the seller. With cologne that's the only way to know for sure that you're getting the authentic fragrance. Terre d'Hermes smells great...plain and simple. It comes off very clean and has a warm and pleasant finish. I smell mostly smoky, woody, earthy notes. Some people say they smell flint or just rock. I don't get that so much. Also, there are citrus notes in there but they quickly retreat to the background. This sent is dominated by the smoky notes. It's really almost like a campfire. Word of caution, I would only do a couple of sprays with this one. It has staying power and pretty decent projection so you really don't want to overdo it. If you do you'll be "that guy", the one that you can smell across the office wearing too much cologne. I would also say this scent is very refined and sophisticated. It is probably best suited for gentlemen in their late 20's and up. Men generally seem to like this fragrance. Women either LOVE this one or some may think it smells weird. I have gotten both reactions from the ladies. More positives than negatives though. It's a safe work cologne as long as you don't overdo it. It s definitely a good cologne for special occasions. As far as a date cologne? If you have been with the women for a while I would say go for it. If it is a new girlfriend I would go with something safe like Bleu de Chanel or Yves Saint Laurent l'homme or la nuit de l'homme or even Dolce & Gabbana The One....there are others, those are just my recommendations. In my opinion, Terre d'Hermes is something unique, powerful, classy, and very pleasant. I would really recommend you try a sample at the mall first before buying it, but I love this one and think it is a great value here on Amazon.

I like the smell! Best present for husband

I was skeptical when buying Heremes Cologne online because of how many people were saying "it's fake" in the reviews. However, I took a chance & glad I did. This cologne is 100% real! I have been using samples Terre d'Hermes from Sephora for a while before deciding to buy it. However, I didn't want to purchase it at retail price because it is very expensive ($120 for a 3.3 oz bottle). When I found it on Amazon for half the price I was both excited & worried. A small percentage of the reviews kept saying that "it doesn't last long" or "it was a knockoff." When I received it (2 days after ordering), I sprayed it on immediately. The cologne smelled exactly the same and even though it is Eau-de-Toilette and not Parfum, it lasted a very long time. I wore it for hours, sweat in it, and I even took a shower. I was amazed that even after a full shower, I could still smell it. So for those people reading the bad reviews, DO NOT BELIEVE THEM! This cologne is legit & set at an affordable price.

This is really good stuff. It grows on you the more you use it. Initial impression is debatable. But the more I've used it, the more I understand it's well deserved reputation. I just wish it could last longer than it does. I'm not surprised because after all, it is a fresh fragrance and this is common with freshies. This one has slightly above average longevity though. I'm not a fan of the lid design though. It's kind of awkward and while different, doesn't inspire an impression of quality. Seems kind of gimmicky actually. This is the only criticism I can think of. The bottle glass is very heavy and solid. You could do serious damage to any object you throw this at. A must have for any serious collector.

What can I say that hasn't been said? TdH is highly regarded on most fragrance forums. I sampled it at Sephora but it was always a little out of my comfort zone as far as price goes. I prefer more unisex-ish types of scents that are kind of on the sweet side. It took a while for TdH to grow on me, it has a dirty/gritty orange and woodsy smell to it. It's a killer winter scent and should work well in the summer too. The 3.3oz bottle was about $40 cheaper on Amazon than at any of the major dept. stores!

At the age of 50, I've been a men's cologne fanatic for more years than I care to remember. Through the years I've held on to one or two fragrances and placed them in the "favorites" category as they seemed to be "just right". Not too lemony. Not too woodsy. Examples of my past faves include John Varvatos and Aqua di Parma. I have to say, when I uncorked this bottle, once it arrived on my doorstep, it has blown away past favorites and I challenge any other fragrance make to come up with ANYTHING that can challenge this incredible fragrance. I'm not going to pretend to have a well-trained nose, or that I'm able to detect hints of this, that or the other, in the fragrance, but I swear, somewhere in there, there's got to be some rich, suppple leather... perhaps some premium Cuban tobacco, and who knows... maybe a hint of new car smell. There's just something in there that screams masculinity but does so in an oh, so subtle manner. Although this fragrance may be a big pricey, it's well worth every (s)cent!

Muy satisfecho con la compra a un precio imbatible, debo confesar que tenia mis dudas y me arriesgue, pero es completamente original, ya tenia la nueva versión en EDP la cual es potente y de verano, pero esta también tiene una duración muy aceptable, para epoca de invierno muy adecuada, hay que ponerla con moderación para que no sea intusiva, chulada de fragancia súper varonil, sobria y elegante
