I bought the cable to link my MacBook Air with a 21" monitor. When I finally found the section on the MacBook that makes the link happen it worked very well. The way to do this in the AirBook is to go to System Preferences, Display, Arrangement., tick box for Mirroring. You will only find the Arrangement page if the monitor is plugged in. Apple by the way wanted £44 for the equivalent cable.

Does exactly what it needs to. Had trouble connecting the Mac to a Samsung TV at first but turns out that's a MAC thing. Having turned the TV off with the Mac connected and turning the TV back on it was fully connected. No sound delay between visuals and audio - great picture quality. Definitely recommend!

This is cable is fantastic. As soon as I used it, the purpose I purchased it for was evident which was to transmit the images, sound and video from my MacBook Air to my Samsung TV. I tested it first on my 15 inch Samsung TV then I tested it again on the 50 inch and both times it worked perfectly. The delivery was also made within three days with standard delivery which was brilliant because I got it in time for the event I needed it for happening at the weekend. This cable is just excellent it works so efficiently. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone wishing to purchase a cable to use with their apple mac/macbook air/macbook pro.I read a number of reviews about this product 99% of which were 5 star and I concur with the five star reviews. There was one review which said that I would have to switch the tv off first and then attach the cable to my MacBook air before attaching the HDMI end to the TV. I did not have to do this! The TV was on and my MacBook air was on and it worked instantly sound, picture and video playback was fantastic. Really great product I will definitely buy from them again and recommend iVanky to all my friends and family!!

Probably would have given it 5 stars as quality looks good and sound and vision okay, when it was working.After a days use it stopped working and "no signal received"I checked the HDMI port on the TV - no problem.I checked the Thunderbolt port on the computer - okay.I bought a new lead from elsewhere ( a apple recognised product) and so far all working fine.I guess I must just be unlucky as all the reports seemed very favourable.

I was not expecting this level of quality at such a low price. I had another more expensive cable than this before and it was never as robust and flexible as this one. The connections are perfect and real tight and the image quality i can get from my tablet connect to my Imac is perfect with this cable.

I wanted to extend my Laptop (running WIN10) to use an old unused flat screen TV as a second monitor. As my laptop has a mini displayport this cable provides the perfect solution. No issues, simply connect to my laptop and then into HDMI on my TV - change a couple of setting in WIN10 itself and presto, a second display that is perfect when working from home!It does carry both the picture and sound which is what I was after - ideal and a great price point too.

I bought this to connect my old MacBook (2011) to my TV as I'm sight-impaired and the 15" is too small for me to see. This is the third cable/adapter I've bought over the last couple of years and is by far the best. It handles Apple's sometimes problematic resolution/connectivity issues with no problems at all and I was able to set the MacBook to the perfect resolution for my vision without telly or Mac freaking out like they had with previous accessories.tl;dr - Recommended.

Superb cable- you can feel the quality and relax knowing it has been really well constructed. The cable feels reassuringly more robust than cheaper alternatives. I have other iVANKY cables and will carry on sourcing cables from them. Thoroughly recommended.
