Great for cleaning sink overflow
We had an unpleasant odor coming from most of the bathroom sink drains in the house we just bought. The drains seemed to work fine, they just smelled bad. After chemical drain cleaners didn't clear the problem, I tried using this brush. This thing worked like a champ for the main sink drains. I removed the sink stoppers, and I was able to clean the drain pipe down to half-way through the trap. I was very happy. But the smell was still there. It was then that I realized that the problem was in the sink overflow drains. After some trial and error, I figured that the best way to reach our overflow drains is from the bottom up. I took out the drain stopper and ran this brush up from around the base of the sink. This involved lubing it up with some dish soap and bending it to go around corners the way I needed. It was generally very successful. Well worth the price.I have a few minor complaints with this product:1) I wish it had a plastic coating over the metal tip to help it slide around corners in the drain a bit easier.2) It's a little stiff for cleaning overflow drains. You have to bend it before inserting it into the drain, and if there's anything like an S shape or right angle to make, it's nearly impossible to get it to go there.3) The bristles are a little short and tend to remain flat after being pressed while going around a drain corner.4) The metal spine of the brush broke while cleaning the third sink. While ideally it would never break, I did bend it many different times and in many different ways to get it to go everywhere I needed it to go, so it held up pretty well. Once that spine breaks, it's virtually useless since the bristles start to fall out.All in all, it's an excellent product for cleaning sink overflow drains.

I wish it were longer...
This brush works great... for what it can reach. It seems to be a couple of inches too short to get all the way through the overflow on my sink.

Can't be used for sink overflow - it is too rigid.
Very rigid to go into a 90 degree turn in a sink overflow.

Gross, but works pretty well
This brush is small enough to get into out shower drain holes. It really helped loosen up the hair and mildew in our shower drain. Our shower has been draining really slowly for several weeks. We really had to aggressively scrub and a ton of black mildew came up with the hair. It was pretty disgusting to use. We had tried Draino and wanted to use a snake, but it wouldn't fit through the shower drain holes. This brush did the trick. After pulling several wads of hair off the brush, the drain began to flow again. I had to use another scrub brush to get the hair and mold off of this brush. The only cons for this item would be that it's a little too flexible (got bent out of shape pretty easily) and it's really gross to use. I would still highly recommend this brush. It really does the job, just make sure you have a good pair of rubber gloves!

Works great in overflow
Used this to clean overflow in sink for mold and mildew to prevent drain flies. Works great.

Mostly Effective
The brush is thick enough that it can sometimes be a little difficult getting it started down the drain. (In particular, I have a spa with a rubber seal around the drain plug that makes access with this tool a little awkward. I haven't really used it through the overflow as the name of the device would suggest.) Once inserted, turn the whole tool in your hand to get a good cleaning acting in the pipe. Usually, it will come back with a lot of nasty stuff caught in it that is a little difficult to clean out. I put it in an empty wastebasket and used an old comb to run up and down the mesh to get rid of the worst of the stuff without messing up the sink or cleaning area. Certainly worth the money and usually way better than pouring nasty chemicals down the drain.

It really worked!
I live in an apartment complex where the bathtub drain is constantly clogging! Yes I could have the super come in to unclog it, but then I would be forced to have him pay part of the rent, because he would be living here!! I was at my wits end and didn't want to spend a lot, so when I saw this, I thought let me give it a try. Turns out it was my hair clogging the drain. Once I got past the gag reflex from pulling it out of the drain, I was fine and so was the drain!! Uck, the thought is making me gag now!!!! It should have a little loop that you could put your finger through to pull it out easier. I would recommend it, though!

Works as described. Our sinks are in a newer home so not that dirty, I was able to clean this thing and am still using it. Might have to throw it away if you have old crusty sinks. I sprayed foaming bleach Tilex down the overflow drains and the main drain and let is sit a few minutes. It takes a little bit of turning and pushing to get it down the overflow, but it will go. It cleans out the pink/black mildew stuff and then it washed right off the brush. Now my sinks don't smell musty when I turn on the water YAY!!!!!

Perfect for inserting into the sink drain
It does the job easily. Nothing could enter my bathroom sink because of the fixed internal drain. But this item cleaned everything in a matter of 2 minutes. So much dirt comes out!

Very useful if you have long hair.
Pulled out a lot of hair, now my bathroom sink drains well. This solved what I thought was going to be an expensive plumbing issue.

OK
this is ok...bends too easy....you shove it down but can't really do much but pull it up and down....gets some....but easier to open the drain pipe over a bucket and just let the gunk drop out....

Not very long and pretty thick
It did a decent job but was too thick for 2 of my plugs and wasn't as long as others I have used. I was able to get done what I needed but I probably wouldn't recommend if you really want to get deep down.
