Another favorite with our cats....
...and the BEST part is that all the Fancy Feast pate varieties are great quality and low carb. If you have a diabetic cat, definitely try feeding this. Every variety has been accepted by our cats with no problem. The pate has a smooth texture, isn't overly dry but isn't too wet either. We've found it is more readily accepted and is a much better value for the price than any of the premium products.

fancy feast classic beef feast
This particular variety of Fancy Feast doesn't seem to be available at my local store (at least, not in large quantities), but I was interested in getting a lot of it after reading about it elsewhere online. First of all, the Classic Tender Beef Feast variety of Fancy Feast doesn't have any gluten or grain ingredients (cats are obligate carnivores and don't naturally eat grains). Plus, one of my cats (who needs to put on some weight) strongly prefers beef over other protein sources. The ingredients are: beef, meat broth, liver, fish, meat by-products, artificial and natural flavors, guar gum, potassium chloride, calcium phosphate, salt, magnesium sulfate, taurine, zinc sulfate, thiamine mononitrate, Vitamin E supplement, ferrous sulfate, niacin, sodium nitrite (to promote color retention), manganese sulfate, calcium pantothenate, Vitamin A supplement, copper sulfate, menadione sodium bisulfite complex (source of Vitamin K activity), pyridoxine hydrochloride, riboflavin supplement, Vitamin B-12 supplement, biotin, folic acid, Vitamin D-3 supplement, potassium iodide. While this would not be ideal for a cat with inflammatory bowel disease (vets recommend that IBD cats avoid beef, fish, and sometimes also guar gum), if you have an IBD cat who won't eat anything else, you might want to give this a try. I am not currently feeding this to my IBD cat, but am glad to always have some around in case I should happen to need it for him.The cat who IS eating this absolutely loves it. It's gone almost as soon as it hits the bowl. I have been feeding her half a can per day as a supplement to her normal diet. The texture is soft and there are no large pieces, so even cats with tooth problems should be able to handle it. The smell is not too strong, either. The only real drawback is that it is a bit hard to find lids to cover the cans as these are a smaller size (3 oz.) and most lids are made for 5.5 oz. cans.Anyway, if you have multiple cats and have at least half a dozen kinds of cat food around at any given time (like I do), this is a great one to add to the list.

Great budget cat food
Ok so here’s what I have come to know and accept with fancy feast… affordable with decent recipes, well liked by every single cat I have ever met, and easy to find. Is it made with the best ingredients? No. Is it made with the worst? No. I can afford to feed my cats better food but they refuse to eat it, so I’m going to continue with fancy feast but rotate flavors to avoid the inevitable quality control issues that come with ordering only one flavor: dented cans, chunky fat bits, dry pate with zero juice. Amazon will typically always replace in those instances, so it’s a good deal all around. Don’t feel bad if you can only afford to feed FF. Some cats including mine actually prefer it to the boutique brands.

Cat love this!
One of my cats is very picky eater, well, aren't they all and she loves this food. Easy to hide her crushed up pill in it and she never knows!

Consistency
My cat loves this item, it's like the only flavored wet food, she gets excited about, and inhales like a vacuum.

Review from the cat
Hi, I'm a cat and my owner asked me how I like this stuff. I told him it's better than the $2 a can crap he's been trying to give me so, I give it two paws up. My owner just wants to give me the best food but, if I won't eat it, what's the point. I like this stuff.
