Broken Solar contacts & and seriously flawed instructions
The soldered contact to the solar panel arrived broken so we had to jerry-rig it with duct tape. Also The instructions were fine for car assembly up until it came time for the solar panel and back axle assembly. There was literally no mention whatsoever on how to assemble the most complex part. Fortunately my daughter teaches science so the physics took over and I am a whiz with duct tape. We figured it out ourselves and my grandson was very happy

Don't waste your money
The assembly instructions are missing detail in key areas and it's _really_ hard for a kid (and even this adult) to figure out some of the motor placement/attachment steps, and exactly even HOW the things attach.. For the tank, the battery pack has a built-in, lever style switch that you can't operate after installing the battery pack inside the tank. So you can't really turn it on and off when the battery pack is in it's place. As for the Racer kit, the solar panel will not produce enough voltage to drive the motor even when the solar cell is held directly beneath a super bright LED desk lamp. I used a Volt/Ohm meter to test the panel with maximum light input and it only delivered .5 volts, not even enough to make the motor spin, with no load on the motor shaft.Buy the National Geogrpaphic kit instead. It has great instructions and we had minimal issues putting things together on that one.

The instructions are pitiful!
No instructions for how to set up the motor. Without the motor, the whole project is a waste of time and money. The instructions do say that there is video of how to install the motor on their YouTube channel, but there are no instructions post4ed there.

Crap!!!
Will not stay together. My boy loves building thing but none of my family has the patience to do these. They fall apart as soon as you put a couple of pieces on.

Misaligned pieces
Difficult to snap together, slots misaligned and wood breaks sometimes. When it does fit, it’s not snug/sturdy and requires extra support like hot glue. Overall disappointing.

Don't waste your money.
Broke and close to impossible to build. My husband is a contractor and couldn't help my son make this work. Don't waste your money.
