Review: Spectacular Product! - Absolutely LOVE this product! Been searching for a non-toxic, plant-based, long-lasting stain forever, and thrilled to have found this one. Does it have a very strong sweet wine smell? Yes, but it dissipates in a couple days. I wore a heavy duty mask while applying, which helped a lot. It’s also very pricey, which keeps me from buying enough to do my fence, but for a smallish project like a raised bed, it’s worth it. Looks great on untreated wood, goes on so smoothly (just be sure there is zero dirt anywhere!), and dries to perfection. Rain beads off it after it dries. Very impressed.
Review: Excellent Product, plant-based, food-safe, and perfect for vegetable beds - I'm rebuilding my raised beds using Douglas Fir because redwood costs were prohibitive. By simply painting on two coats of this sealer, I think I doubled the life of the raised beds. I live in a dry climate, but the vegetables get regular water. Raw wood would have last three to five years, but after sealing them, I believe they will last seven to ten years if not longer. I had no problem with stickiness even though I was generous with the sealer. It was a quick easy job and so worth the money. Plus, the boards look much better! Great food-safe sealer!
