This swim cap is super cute. It fit my daughter - she's 3-1/2 years old, has a fairly large head, and has very thick, curly hair that goes down to the middle of her back. Overall, it wasn't too difficult to get on (in general, swim caps are not the easiest things to get on a 3 year old). One of the other reviewers said she thought when the cap is worn, the cat's face was supposed to be on the side, not the front and back. I think she's right - when you put the cap on with the cat's face on the side, the side edges are slightly longer to cover the child's ears. The swim cap had a strong odor when I first opened the package, but the smell was mostly gone after the first use (I could only smell it if I held it right up to my nose) and was completely gone after a few uses. It's not an offensive, chemical smell - it just smells like rubber or whatever the cap is made of (smells kind of like inflatable pool toys).The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because it didn't keep my daughter's hair completely dry. When we took the cap off, her hair was slightly damp (but much drier than swimming without the cap). My daughter refused to wear the cap pulled down over her ears, so I'm not sure if that would have made a difference. Without being pulled over her ears, the very bottom edge of her hair along the back of her neck was exposed, so it's possible water may have gotten in that way. Even though it didn't keep her hair totally dry, we will continue to use these for her daily swim lessons because it keeps all the hair out of her face (which ponytails and barrettes weren't able to do) and I prefer to deal with damp hair after class than with dripping wet hair.Make sure you rinse the cap after using it and thoroughly dry it (especially the inside) so it doesn't get moldy.UPDATE: I've updated my review to 5 stars. After doing research trying to find the perfect swim cap to keep my daughter's hair dry, I learned that swim caps are not meant to keep hair completely dry (they're meant to keep hair out of the face and reduce drag for competitive swimmers). I've seen a couple swim caps that claim to keep hair dry, but they all have reviews from people claiming they do not work.

Very good swimming cap for my 13 month old. Not too tight, she keeps it on. Typically she removes regular hats from her head but this one she has non problem keeping it on. No water seeps in. Cute baby design!

The kitty cap was as pictured. It was soft and silky and I thought it was easy to put on and did not pull my hair. I am a grown woman with an average size head. It fit around perfectly without being to tight. It was too short to stay put and not get my hair wait at the base of my neck and behind my ears. But it was a perfect fit on my 10 year old daughter. I am glad to have found a product thats latex free. Its very thick and I think it will last a long time.

It takes two people (help from my husband) to fit the cap around my daughter's head. She's very petite, yet the cap seems to be made for toddler sized heads. She has waist length hair, and though I wrap it in a tight bun, the swim cap still leaves the nape of her neck exposed, as well as the sides of her head. Will keep using it as she adores it, and loves showing off the fish fin while swimming.

We purchased this for our four year olds swimming lessons that require caps for people with hair below neck. Fit her little noggin just fine and kept all her hair in. She doesn't complain much at all about pinching or pulling, which I'm pretty amazed by as she will be the first to let you know if something is uncomfortable. I'm a bit of a newbie at putting on swim caps, but we manage pretty well (takes at most a total of about 2 minutes to get it on her head and tuck up any loose strands of hair).I would purchase this again.

My granddaughter just learned how to swim and was excited to put this on so her hair wouldn't dry out, but immediately upon placing it over her head, the cap ripped and was useless. My granddaughter is only 4, this should not have happened. Very dissatisfied and upset to have wasted money in this.

Super cute and very durable. My daughter loves it. She's five and has a ton of long, thick, curly hair. It fits very well. My only issue (may not be an issue for others) is that the first few times that she wore the cap, after a half hour, it bothered her on the edges because it was tight. But I think that's because it was new, which is probably normal.

I have bought swim caps for over 40 years for my daughters and am now buying them for my grandson. This is a great cap. Thumbs up.
