It simply has two holes and is stretchy so your things fit into the stretchy area. I was a little concerned about the fact that it uses velcro for closure but it's different and it works. It lays flat and doesn't jostle around when I run. It doesn't look big but it stretches and fits my cell phone (HTC one M9) in the pocket and it hasn't fallen out yet. The only gripe I have it that the key clip is not a typical clip. It's nice because its on an elastic tether and I can keep the keys attached when I unlock my door but because it doesn't really "clip" I've had the keys slip off a few times. Luckily I always tuck them in the pocket so they don't jingle drop while I'm out in the early morning.
