Comfortable, protective & GORGEOUS
Purchased my first pair of Keens three years ago when I found a size 7 on a clearance sale in the men’s department that just fit my foot ! After three years of hard use the heals had worn down but we’re so comfortable I couldn’t imagine buying any other brand! This time I had a choice to buy a women’s shoe but wasn’t sure which size to order so I used the web site instructions and measured my foot length @ 10” & ordered women’s size 9 1/2 Targhee II low profile in “English Lavender”. My new Keens are GORGEOUS & fit Better than my first Keens because they are roomy enough to wear my heaviest socks and feel heavenly to walk in! They work especially well on long walks through the woods and rough rocky terrain because they are extremely sturdy, well made, protective, supportive, and so comfortable I want to wear them all the time🙏

BEST.SHOES.EVER.
Oh friends. These shoes, these shoes! I was starting to lose faith that no longer could one find an amazing pair of hiking shoes. All the shoes I looked at seem to have defects, diminishing quality, weird sizing, etc. For me, I needed a pair that were structurally sound for working in a muddy garden where snakes and other biting things are a threat. I found these to be a bit expensive but worth every penny. They might be the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. Like right outta the box. Zero break in period, and I have sensitive feet. They are sturdy, and one of my favorite things about them is the ability to slip them off and on. They have laces, yes, but I tied them once and haven't had to untie or retie since. They are so sturdy you can just slip your foot right on in and right on out, like a rain boot. Plus they're CUTE. I found them true to size. I wear an 8.

Bozo
The jury is still out on this shoe. I bought them for an upcoming trip to Yosemite and Sequoias in September. I bought the shoe early to break it in as I own MANY pairs of keens (boots, sandles, loafers,) and I know the sole is tough until broke in. I did not find the shoe to be to small as other people have mentioned. I wear a 9, I bought a 9. I actually found what others have in that there is heel slippage. I do not have a heavy sock on so perhaps a thicker sock will prevent this....perhaps not. I will have to replace the insert with a arch support insert as I do with most of my shoes so perhaps that will help with the heel slippage as well? Maybe I just am not use the the bulk of a hiking shoe, but I kind of feel like Bozo wearing these.....they are so bulky and awkward. With that being said, I did not feel a root or a rock through these babys. So I will take comfort over look any day. I had plenty of room in the toe box so that is a plus. The shoe is water proof and there is like a sack that encases the inside of the shoe for the waterproof aspect, because of this I found them to be very hot, my feet get very sweaty. The color was true to the photo, dark. I needed a waterproof comfortable shoe and I think these fit the bill.

Comparable to the Keen Voyageur....
I've had great comfort with the Voyageur and bought the Targhee 2 to replace an old Voyageur pair which has worn out completely after years of use. These two shoes seem to share the same shoe fast and are built on the same platform. There is plenty of toe box room for me, the back is a bit elevated to help with high arches and the fit is smooth and comfortable all around. They seem to be basically the same shoe. I wear a size 9 in most Keen shoes and boots but when it comes to the Voyageur and the Targhee 2, I need to go up 1/2 size for the perfect fit. For me they run a little too short. I also use a Birkenstock Blue insole for very high arches which completes the overall fit. In the summertime, I wear thin silk socks which makes them just a hair too big (but my feet swell more in the summer making the fit perfect) and for the other months of the year I wear normal thicker socks which work perfectly without being too tight. The Multi color, which is a very deep dark brown and the aqua contrast is really striking and they are a fabulously good looking pair of walking/hiking shoes which get lots of compliments. I really love them. Just a reminder too, is that when your old Keens start to get holes in the bottom from so much use, just keep them and use them as water/river shoes. They are still sturdy enough for this use and to keep your feet supported and covered in the rocky streams and rivers.

My 13th or 14th pair of Keens in 10 years.
These shoes are excellent for: hiking, trail walking, every day errands, work, leisure, dashing to the car in the rain, snow, and mud. I really like the large toe box. The shoes are comfortable and not too wide. They tend to run a half size small in my experience. I have three pair of Keen sandals, as well as, the variety of Targhees that I've owned. I tend to buy a new pair about every 18 months and then demote the current pair to yard work and "poo-patrol" when picking up after my Yorkies. I love the fact that these are water repelant to water proof. Be sure to read the specs as Keen offers shoes in both models. My preference is the low cut shoe over the ankle height. Just feels better for me. I have experienced ZERO break-in time for this brand of shoe. The color selections are muted and very similar to each other. Get over it...I have yet to see Keen offer a bright blue or red Targhee. (Although that'd be cool. I'm totally all about blue.) The soles of the shoes take a long time to wear as they are made of Vibram. Great stuff. The foot bed is removeable and there is plenty of room for orthodics if you wear them. I have worn out the foot beds and just replaced them with after market variety. The laces are really long so you may either have to cut them down or double-bow tie them. Just something I've noticed over the years. Unless your mom is a totally hip kind of woman, she may not like the look of these shoes, as the toe bumper is quite prominent. My mom thinks these are hideous. Well, if she'd only try a pair and not look at her feet, I think she'd be hooked on the great comfort, weather resilientancy, and did I mention comfort? Give Keens a try. I hope you like them. I sure do.

These shoes are AWESOME. I did a little research before ordering them ...
These shoes are AWESOME. I did a little research before ordering them and found that the sizes are a little bigger than Sketchers, for example. I normally wear a Sketchers size 11. This was the same as a Keens size 10.5. The first day, the shoes fit a little awkwardly. I hardly have a heel at all and my foot was sliding around in the shoe, because my foot was long enough for the shoe, but just not very bulky otherwise. Slipping a Dr. Scholls insert into the shoes fixed the fit for me and seriously - best shoes ever. They are so darn comfortable. I love these shoes. The arch support is great. The heal support is great. There's lots of room for my toes. My only extremely slight nitpick is that the color of the leather doesn't look exactly as it does in the pictures (but, what does?). I thought I was getting shoes with greenish leather. Nope. It's brown. It's a nice brown, though. If you like brown and comfy shoes that don't get your socks wet if you step in a puddle, these shoes might work for you.

Looks great but odd fit, might lose a toenail
I have a wide forefoot and narrow heel and sized up to an 8 from 7.5. The toe area is very roomy for my duck shaped feet, but the toe is still hitting a very uncomfortable stiff spot at the top even though there's plenty of width and length. Replacing the insole doesn't help as there's not enough height in the shoe. I've never worn 8.5 in my life, and my heel would definitely slip. I haven't even walked yet and after losing a toenail from my last hike, I can't risk it. The looks and craftsmanship are top notch, but the comfort isn't there.

Comfortable right out of box.
Needed a hiking shoe that would have good grip, keep me dry if rainy or puddles, and comfortable on my wider feet. On arrival and trying on for the first time these Keen Targhees felt very comfy. I then used them for 3 weeks straight doing some very adventurous hikes. These shoes held up well and had great stability and grip. I’m very happy with these shoes.

Comfortable and rugged.
This is my third pair of Keen shoes and these are for walking and gym. Delivery was really fast and price excellent. As always, I pulled them out of the box, put them on and knew I could immediately head off on a walk. Generous room in the toe as always and nice broad fit. Always travel with at least one pair of my Keens. Enjoy photography and the build of these shoes is bullet proof. I've stood in mountain streams, shallow surf etc after a shot and the Keens waterproofing is brilliant. Highly recommended.

Perfekt
Der Schuh schaut super aus, der Fuß hat vorn viel Platz, fällt recht Groß aus, könnt eine Nummer kleiner reichen, ich behalte ihn trotzdem.

great shoes
Keen shoes always fit a bit snuggerr than other shoes...if you're used to Keen, you won't complain...a size 9 women is a size 9 women, but snug NOT too small. Just don't expect your foot to be loose in them. Great shoes that last for years...the last ones have lasted me 9 years, they're a bit worn but still kicking.
