Ultimately we love it.
I'm sure there are better, but this isn't bad for the price. First few times i used hard candy and,the part that spins needed some help. I wouldn't advise to use hard candy. It does work just has some trouble. Other than that I'm very happy with it and the kids love it!

Neat!
Absolutely adorable. We only used sugar floss so this is the only experience we have, but they made nice size, YUMMY clouds of cotton candy. Can’t wait to use for family events!

Bought as gift for 8 year old granddaughter. She wanted to make her own with mom's help. She was so excited when she received it.

Good Value
At this price point my expectations were not high, it just needs to make Cotton Candy and looks cute for my daughters. Yes, its mostly plastic as expected, this is why it costs ~ $40 and not ~$100. It seems some reviewers have champagne taste on a beer budget. Beyond the facade, the functional components appear to be adequate quality and metal. I have used it once and, made delicious, fluffy Cotton Candy and is relative easy to clean. My one complaint on cleanup is that, per the instructions, the extractor head should lift straight up in order to be cleaned. After significant effort, including using vice grips on the center bolt, I could not get this to budge. Fortunately none of the metal bent and I ended up needing to remove the bolt and washers to detach the extractor head for cleaning. I tried using the vice grips again to remove the remaining shaft, and still no luck. There is no dirt or sugar locking it in place, so it looks like I will just need to remove the nut each time I clean.... oh well.

Satisfied
Such an esthetic piece. Easy to put together. An even easier clean up. I would like for the speed to be faster for cotton build up because my arms got sore by the second cotton candy I made. But for a first time cotton candy maker, I’m pleased with it.

Do NOT buy! DANGER🔥❗️
So at first this seemed like a fun lil gadget. Followed every step and right out of the box made a few “batches”. A couple days later got it back out and used it the exact same way I did the first time and it caught LITERAL fire. Flames coming out from the underneath of the center centrifuge space where the sugar goes. I was using cotton candy floss sugar so nothing strange. I unplugged it immediately tried to blow out the the flames which was difficult since the center of the device only has a small opening where you’d want to get in to extinguish the fire. I picked it up whisked it across the kitchen and straight outside to the porch wall. I was legit shaken. Don’t buy it it’s absolutely not worth catching your house on fire for or someone getting hurt. There was no time to grab the phone and get a video but I wanted to leave this extremely important info to help anyone else from finding themselves in danger. The issue with the machine is that as it spins the sugar some of it clings to the centrifuge outside edge then drips down into the center through the small opening and into the heating element which in turn lights the sugar on fire. You can’t get into that area to clean it either without completely taking the unit apart which it tells you in the book not to do so major design flaw for sure. Buyer beware of you read this and still decide to purchase it.
