GavitaMaster Controller EL2

Works well but is it too much to ask of Gavita to get with the program and have a controller that doesn't lose its settings when the power goes out? I have a cheap alarm clock that doesn't even have that issue yet I have 3 controllers that will almost always lose configuration/settings when power loss.

If you are running Gavita lights than this is the controller you want. Easy set-up and working great

I have alot of these EL1 and EL2 light controllers. After a few months their internal batteries die and if you get the slightest power flicker, all of you light settings reset which changes your light cycle instantly.YOU HAVE ONE JOB! TURN THE LIGHTS ON AND OFF. Unbelievable that a reputable company like Gavita puts out such a shitty substandard timer.Also, why don't we have remote capabilities?? An app and wifi connectivity would be amazing.

This is a First Gen model.Amazon keeps deleting my post.This model should sell for 75 bucks tops.

Great product, I was skeptical having always been a mechanical timer person after a few digital timers went out on me. This thing makes life easier, simply put, the shutdown stuff is a piece of mind as well. Pretty much a no brainer if you are committing to Gavitas and have more than one light in a run.

Purchased 20 lights and the Master Controller. (have a set up of 60+ lights).The controller worked so poorly that we stopped using it, and to date six (6) of the 20 Gavita special ballast light package units have ceased working (under warranty) versus only one (1) of the non-special Gavita units.To make matters worse, Amazon walks away from warranty assistance. Facinating.
