Great light, super bright.
So after using this for a while, it has been a real solid light, works well, super bright, easy to program the clock and the timers after you look at the instruction video. I love that it is adjustable in 10% increments on all of the different light settings. Only thing I noticed...it forgets everything if the power goes out and you have to program everything again. My other light has the ability to save everything when the power goes down. Other than that this is a really great light, I would buy this again if I get a second tank.

Its perfect!
Great light. I needed alight for a small cube tank and I wanted one that had a timer. Not only is the light perfect for my nano shrimp tank but I love that the timer is built in to it. Makes the tank cleaner without the need for an extra gadget for timing the tank. The size is perfect and it sits nice and clean looking on my tank. Very happy. If I were to point out one picky aspect- I do wish the timer on the top had a dimming effect so it does not seem to always be lit, but this is very miner.

Power supply on one of the 2 units purchased failed after 11 months
Purchased 2 of these lights to replaced a 34" aquarium light hood that had 4, 24", 24 watt T5-HO bulbs. I had 2 units over a covered 29 gallon glass terrarium (34" l X 12" w) between 6 in-12 in from the light for sundew plants that have high light requirements. And yes, the units hang a bit over the edge on the ends due to my error of not measuring first. This resulted in the need to ghetto fix how they are mounted onto the terrarium. The provided mounts put a bit of space between the top of the tank and the lights, this reduces and spreads out the light and keeps the aquarium on the cooler side. That gap in space also causes a reflection of the light from the glass/water underneath, blinding anyone walking past if the aquarium sits low. A 1" reflector or hood attachment along the sides of the unit would solve this and allow more light utilization (Why light up the ceiling???), but manufactures seem to ignore this in most LED aquarium lights due to how they focus light in one direction. The light's metal outside casing is hot and put off quite a bit of heat. Hot to touch but does not burn the skin immediately(~130-160F). The glass cover shields most of that heat, and the plants seemed happy continuously flowering. The light is very bright on 100% brightness but dimmer than what I expected for 60 watts of LED. The light is focused more in a downward direction when 6"-12" away, so full sun plants need to be directly under the light thus the need for 2 units. The timer/dimmer/light color functions are nice which is why I bought the 2 units in the first place. Figured I could dim them if there was too much light, but too little light would require another more expensive purchase. Overall happy with the units themselves at this price range. A major drawback however is that the power supply failed on one of the units after 11 months of use. I knew at this price range something would give eventually but I have never had a power supply fail before. At least its an easy fix if I can find a replacement. Update: increased rating by one star due to the company contacting me after the review and quickly replacing the power supply at no cost. Considering I purchased this 11 months ago, there was no obligation to replace it. Nothing beats good customer service.

Perfect for planted aquarium
This is a good light, but now there is even a better light in the market called the Brite which is bluetooth activated with UV light and easier to customize for your planted aquarium. This light is pretty easy to program, I’m not sure why I see so many reviews complaining that this is a difficult light to program…. Took me like 5 minutes to set up for a Siesta Planted Aquarium for my 29 gallon and 5 gallon planted tank. Plant growth has been crazy with the Siesta Method. Currently I’m using a Siesta Method with this light with the current setting: To set this light for custom mode. You first need to turn off all your other mode first or it is not going to work! Then you simultaneously press the setting and light bulb button at the same time. Remember need to set it to ON then press the setting button again, and you will start with L1 with the flashing number on the right. The number on the right indicates the intensity. Press up and down to control the intensity. Once you are satisfied with the intensity, press the setting button. The left side time flashing is the time your light will be on. The right time flashing is the time your light will be turn off. Press setting to confirm your time and it will switch to L2, repeat your step. Literally L1 - L8 is like a timeslot that you can customize…. How can people not understand that?…. L1 - L6 is full spectrum and L7-L8 is night spectrum. Always have 0% on L8 if you dont want algae. If you want algae and have your night mode on the whole night then go ahead. Light 8am - 12pm on. 12 - 4pm off. 4 - 10pm on. This would allow for a 4-4-6 siesta planted aquarium. L1: 8 - 9: 50% L2: 9 - 12: 100% L3: 12-4pm: 0% L4: 4-5pm: 50% L5: 5-9pm: 100% L6: 9pm - 10:30pm: 10% L7: 10:30 - 10:31pm: 0% To turn off the night light L8: 10:31pm - 7:59am: 0% To turn off for the night and reset back to L1 time This siesta light setting is perfect to view your aquarium and let your tank Co2 reset. This also reduce algae. This siesta method also work if you have a Co2 tank, you can also use this setting for your solenoid Co2 7-11am on 3-9:00pm on

Very bright, should work well for planted tanks, but.........
UPDATE Dec 30, 2022: Hygger has been very good throughout this issue, always getting back to me, and exchanging lights. As it turns out, there was a firmware mistake which prevented the Dusk function from working properly. Once they ran some tests on a returned light, they discovered it, and they readily admitted it. They then let me know when the batch with the new firmware would be available. The updated version works perfectly! This light is great for plants and put out plenty of visual light. My wife's plants do very well with it. And Hyyger's Customer Service is excellent as well! Initial Review: My wife needed a light for a new 20 gal planted tank. We already had the same model in 48in/72W. So, the 26W light was the choice, mainly because of the brightness. The problems are simple: Programming. My other, bigger big light is exactly the same way, a pain. Our first 26W unit couldn't be programmed properly. Since they didn't bother to send a manual, we used the one from our nearly 4 year old unit. Since I was somewhat used to them, programming didn't seem to be too bad. All I did was set the time, and the length of time I wanted the light on. That way, it should ramp up, and then ramp down prior to going on and off, simulating dawn and dusk. Dawn worked fine, but I could not stop dusk from ramping down halfway, and then switching off completely. After pulling my hair out, I sent it back for a replacement. The new one made it with a manual, but I had the same issues. The manual is very incomplete, and in English written by someone who is Chinese. It really needs to be rewritten by someone who really speaks English, and a Troubleshooting section added. Sunset and sunrise are mirror images of each other. Increase to about 50%, wait 1 hour, and then over 15 min increase to 100%. Sunset should be the same. Decrease to 50% over 15 minutes, hold that for an hour, and then decrease to off, over 15 minutes. Our light decreases to about 2% and holds that for an hour. Still awaiting a reply.... This could be a 5 Star light, even though it is made in China, but it's poor programming methods hurt it badly!

Advertised as 48W, Actually ~33W - Great Growth, Poor Transparency
This light is beautiful and very bright right out of the box ✨. The color rendering looks great, fits snug on my 40 gallon tank and it definitely makes the tank pop. That said, I ran into some serious concerns. The 30–36” model is advertised as 48W, but when I tested it at the wall I was only seeing about 35W total draw. When I powered the light directly using a bench power supply, the fixture itself maxed out around 33W. That explains why the included power supply seems underpowered - but it also means the light is not actually operating anywhere near the advertised 48W. That feels very misleading. On top of that, the included power supply and cords are noticeably thin. Given the current draw, that raises concerns about long-term durability and safety. Thin wiring under sustained load can lead to overheating, premature failure, or worse fire🔥. It just doesn’t inspire confidence. Functionality wise, the standard sunrise/sunset mode is partly customizable. You can adjust the moonlight brightness and color, which is nice. However, you cannot adjust daytime brightness in standard mode - it runs at 100% unless you switch into full DIY programming. DIY mode is powerful, but as many others have mentioned, it can be tricky to program. If you carefully follow the instructions (and their YouTube video), it’s manageable - but it’s not intuitive. I’ve already noticed visible plant growth after installing this light. The spectrum seems to support healthy growth, which is great. However, being unable to adjust daytime brightness in standard mode can directly impact plant health over time - too much light can stress certain plants and, more importantly, can fuel unwanted algae growth. Another small but annoying issue: the display screen is always backlit. There’s no option to turn it off. Interestingly, the Amazon product photos show the screen with the backlight off “for display purposes,” which feels misleading as well. Overall, the light is attractive, bright, and functional 👍. But between the inflated 48W claim (actual draw ~33W), the undersized power supply, thin cords, limited daytime brightness control in standard mode, and always-on display, I can’t justify more than 1 out of 5 stars.

A fantastic light
The light is really good for the price it is. The extended rods definitely hold its weight. And the size is real good doesn't take up to much of the top of the tank. The light reaches really good to the bottom of the tank just make sure you adjust the light setting so its not to bright for the tank you have so you dont have an algea problem other then that no complaints ive always used these lights

Pretty good could definitely be better.
I am middle of the road on this light. I do like the brightness adjustment and integrated timer. I don't like the touch sensitive button controls. I don't like the length adjustable arms do not lock into place.
