yes. I am pretty sure it did. it's imbedded in the nut.

Hello, does this product fit for the 48oz cup?

I used the same nut that came with the 64 oz at purchase, and put it into the 32 oz. You can ask Vitamix direct. They are VERY helpful.

Fits my 1782 TurboBlend (VM0102) 64oz Container

I got this because mine was rusted and warped. I called Vitamix first to see if they could send me a replacement retainer nut, but they said they didn't have that part and offered me a discount on a new container. I got this instead and I am perfectly happy that I did. Works fine, feels quality, no leaks or issues so far. No need to buy the special tool unless you don't have a screwdriver or something to use as a lever and a guy with some elbow grease to unscrew the nut (counterclockwise) from the base of the container. Fit the container on my 1782 TurboBlend 2 Speed (Model # VM0102) and looks like it would fit my mom's newer 5200 Professional-Grade 64oz container as well. The retainer nut this replaced had the part # ASY172 C, but I would guess that if the nut on your container looks like this one, it probably fits.
