Really bad static hiss
Awful mics for $80.I bought two to use for our Nikon D3300 cameras to record video for a school video production class. I tried them out last night for the first time and both microphones have a horrific electric hiss. I can't teach the kids with these... I can get better audio on my phone. Same exact sound in two different microphones on two different cameras. I used a tascam portable audio recorder for reference to be sure I could get a fair test.I'll mess around with settings on the cameras tomorrow to see if that helps... but if I can't fix it I'll be returning these and spending the little bit extra for name brand mics. Looks like trying to go the budget route bit me on this one.
