1/4" Cotton Piping Cord, Size 2 (9 yds)

Moved to a new house that needed new dust ruffles, comforters and throw pillows. I used the same fabric I used for the dust ruffles to make the throw pillows. A bit of piping always perks the look of them up a notch.The piping worked great.Tip: To keep the remainder of the piping from unraveling, put a piece of tape around the end. It will keep better until you need more piping for your next project.

I couldn't find this ANYWHERE until I checked online. Also, buying in bulk was far more reasonable than by the yard. Exactly what I wanted for my multiple pillow cover project.

Exactly what I wanted.

I bought this to make my own piping code tape to make custom cushion covers and pillow cases. It was packaged safely in nice bubble lined paper envelop, shipped very quickly, and has arrived without any damage. It appears to be a great quality product and comes with enough yardages of pure cotton piping to make tons of pillow cases and cushion covers (in my calculations I can make 18+ large 20" custom cushion covers with this piping cord). I now don't have to keep buying strings for bags to make my own piping code strips, which tends to be way too soft and way too flimsy. This is great stuff, and happy to support a small company who produces great products!

This piping is exactly as advertised except that there is no mention of the sizing or other additive. For its intended use, the added body would be a plus, keeping everything neat no matter how roughly the cord may be treated until covered. For my purposes, crafting absorbent coasters, that additive was not so welcome. It made the piping repel moisture, so the coasters would either stick to the glass or dump the moisture onto to the tabletop. Eventually, I found that I could safely wash the "sizing" out of the piping by using Dawn dish detergent in less than an inch of warm water. Too hot, too much water, or too much squeezing (etc.) and the piping was wrecked. In the end, I'm happy enough. Just wish I had known in advance...

This worked great to make piping for my new patio cushions. It's sturdy and fit the standard 1/4 inch cording foot on the sewing machine well. Good value for the money. Very pleased.
