Beginner appropriate
Just right for my 11 yo beginner. Able to make 2 sounds and still practicing. Pretty and shiny, no dents.

The media could not be loaded. i take her to my band practice & have bought her a few instruments so she can play with while we’re rehearsing. she loves it, we love it. it’s great :)

It’s good especially for the price!
It’s a good bugle. It’s probably an oversight on my part but the only real downside is the valves don’t pull off to empty spit. The spit crackle isn’t ideal. And with no where for it to go it can travel down the horn. Which is a big yuck. It’s not POURING out but it’s spitty for sure. But for 20 some dollars I can’t complain too much. Playing with a mute would stem the flow a bit. I used to play the trumpet and now I understand the necessity for a spit valve. 😳

In the key of C# not Bb!
Pros - it somehow arrived without any visible damage.Cons1. The metal is VERY thin. Way lighter and more delicate than I was expecting.2. As others have noted, this is pitched in C# and NOT B flat as advertised. Don't plan to play echo taps with someone on a B flat trumpet.3. Does not accept trumpet mouthpieces. Maybe a cornet mouthpiece shank would fit.4. The mouthpiece that is provided is sketchy. It looks like raw brass (no finish) and that is bad news. The rim is also very narrow and sharp and the shank doesn't fit properly in the mouthpiece receiver.If you want something to hang on your wall as a decoration, this may be good for you. If you are looking for a bugle that is usable, look for something else.

It's basically a toy... for Boy Scout Merit badge.. don't bother if you expect a real one.. it works fine thpugh.

Great horn and sound. Bell was damaged but the sound is so good I don’t want to exchange
I love this horn and do not want to return due to the perfect pitch. Was a bit disappointed that the bell was bent.

Got this for my son for Christmas and he loves it he is working his way to getting his merit badge. Works great

Christmas gift
A good Christmas gift to a grandson. A more protective carrying case would be nice, in order to protect the horn.
