I am an artist and I have re-ordered these cards and envelopes several times. The quality is excellent each time which is especially important to me. I spend a great deal of time drawing and painting on each card and appreciate the consistent quality and longevity of the product.The cards arrive flat and scored. They create a clean line every time that I fold one. The heavy watercolor stock has a nice tooth, texture, providing an increased value to my finished artwork. Customers often comment about the nice paper and how they frame their cards after receiving them. The cream colored cards are accompanied by matching envelopes. They are smooth, nice looking and most importantly, easy to seal. I have previously bought other products with envelopes that did not seal well, requiring me find alternative means.Overall, the high caliber of the card and envelope set is my reason for repurchasing it each time. The value of the 100 pack allows me to keep my prices within reason and continue my artwork. The cards are also available in smaller quantities for those that don’t need a 100 pack and I have directed students to buy those instead. I continue to be very pleased with the card set.

High quality watercolor cards

I needed to print some of my photos onto stationery cards. The older stationery that I printed on in past years has yellowed over time, and I was cautious about ordering cheap blank cards / envelopes out of fear they wouldn't be durable, would yellow gradually, or wouldn't take the ink properly. After much searching I discovered the Strathmore cards on Amazon and ordered them because they were acid-free and the reviews were outstanding. When the blank cards arrived I was a bit concerned about being able to print on them because of the rough, ripped edge on the front cover, and also by the rough-ish fabric-like texture of the card stock, but my fears were unfounded - I was very pleased with the results, notably by the brilliance of the colors that came out on the cards from my inexpensive ink jet printer. I like the brightness / purity of the white of the cards and envelopes, and I think the quality of the product relative to the price makes this an easy choice. If/when I need to print out more stationery cards I'll definitely be buying this product again.

I love the quality of the paper. It’s excellent for painting a watercolor on the cards.

Used product to make photo cards

I should have a “reorder” every 2Months on these cards! Well made and beautiful, they will take watercolor easily but also photographs. I have given dozens of these for gifts with my original art on them and people are amazed and how lovely they are. Great product!

Actually, do not paint on the card. I use watercolor paper and paste it on the top of the card. Card has a beautiful ragged edge. Nice envelope, also. Paper is just a bit too thin for painting with watercolors. If you are light on your watercolor usage, it may work for you. Regardless, nice product.

These are perfect for the purpose that they are intended which is not for wet work or painting. Works very well with coloured pencils, rubber stamping, lightly gluing for photos, paper + die cuts, fabric, other embellishments, and collage. The careful use of calligraphy works well and so does VERY lightly moist brush work. The front of the folded card with the deckled edge is 0.75 centimetres (1/4") wider than the back of the card. I would purchase again, but advise purchasing at least 140# (300 g/m2) weight if you want to use more moist brush work. #260 is you want total freedom, otherwise stay away from 80# paper unless you prepared to use "dry" brush work. I sometimes use thinner paper (like this) for water colour painting but always stretch it first. Just for fun, I took one of these cards gave a 5 - 6 min. bath and dry 'pressed' it - and it worked well without buckling. Hope that helps. Good price.

The quality of these cards and envelopes is very good.The paper is top notch. My only issue is I wish they were a little less pricey.

The paper is fine and thankfully not wrinkled or creased. This is more a review on the shody handling of my package.

I purchased these to use for Christmas cards. While the product is good quality, I would not recommend for watercolour artists. The paper buckles and saturation is almost instant. It does not hold up like 140 lb. paper. Would recommend for pastels, pencil crayons, etc. but definitely not for watercolour. Purchased 140 lb. card stock and will paint on that, then glue onto these cards.
