BlackMail (Brand New Single Bluray, Hindi Language, With English Subtitles, Released By T-Series)

This is not a bad movie considering all the odds. Dev Kaushal (Protrayed by Irrfan Khan) is shown as a toilet paper sales executive who has lost enthusiasm, hope and totally disheartened. Again what are the odds that you will have a hero out of that character?. At the core, This is a dark comedy movie that shows a unique blend of realistic story-telling and some wickedly funny comedy. Irrfan Khan's performance is okay as always but I think the character is a tough one to portray and he did not do complete justice to the character. Divya Dutta as Dolly Verma, a daughter of a rich businessman has been acted by her very nicely. Arunoday Singh as Ranjit Arora, a jobless man who got married to Dolly for her money and is later blackmailed by our hero Dev actually has acted appropriately for that character.The story is unique. Plot has some interesting twists but overall due to the dark comedy nature it may not please everyone. Rating it with three stars!

I enjoy dark comedy, but the comedy here was primarily in Dev's (the protagonist's) work place with its over the top boss, the ridiculous things he does for the sake of his job, and at his work place.and his wife, His unfaithful life and the circumstances that create and how the blackmail situation develops is like a good film noir -- after it ended, I even had to unravel in my mind as to from whom the blackmail money came and who it ended up with, as well as who knew what when. I don't want to give spoilers but I will say it was as if Raymond Chandler had been tasked with writing a humorous Bollywood movie starring Dilbert. It is a lot like film noir in body count and unhappiness than you usually see in Bollywood, but you still have humor and the comedy of awkward moments. There are also no dance numbers, other than at the end, a flashback to Dev's wedding and some extras with the stylish singer.

Excellent movie... blends in comedy with thriller...Loved Irfan Khan's performance.

I didn't enjoy it as I though I would. Is a dark comedy and most of the situation were too cringy for me, almost uncomfortable to watch. I'm used to movies of over 2 hours, but this one felt too long and I struggled to finish it. I hated all the characters but mostly the main one. The music is nice and the story is quite original.

Nice plot with twists, funny and smart screenplay, impressive acting and memorable characters. Definitely recommend for 15+ audience.

Such movies which make you laugh out of a depressing situation is extemely rare & genius act. Five stars. Wanted to deduct half a star for the friend treatment (w/o giving much away), felt a bit sorry, could have handled differently, but then he was the instigator suggesting a surprise with flowers and started it all :)

It was very boring during the rising action. A very choppy plot with everyone trying to blackmail each other. I would say the last 40 mins were the only interesting part of the movie that kept me interested. Things didn't make sense the whole movie. The acting was subpar as well by the whole cast. It's an okay movie, but there's so much better options. Skip this movie, you'll be glad.

Good story - very different from the usual hindi movie stories... Also well enacted and funny... A must watch !!!

The plot is not bad, very well twisted.Entertained.But, not very much enjoyable at some points.Betrayed by your partners.Friends are killed for wrong reasons.Doesn't the director like human beings?
