When Amazon describes this cat tree as X-Large they are not kidding – it is huge, about six feet high when fully assembled. The item is produced by Amazon's own Umi. brand and once assembled it is very sturdy – it is supplied with a full fixing kit, including wall bracket, and a suitable Allen key to fit the hex heads. We found that the cat tree was actually too tall with the final stage fitted so we left it with the little house as the top feature – our lad is happy to sit on the top of it to look out of the window as it is a better height for him to see what he wants to than the higher top tier was. This design is really too big for a single cat and would be more suited to a household with about three cats – but our lad has a couple of favourite spots and he loves getting his claws onto the scratching posts. Apart from the scratching posts the rest of the cat tree is covered by a plush velour type material which is soft yet still quite tough and hard-wearing. At the time of this review the product is shown as unavailable from Amazon – but I think it was around eighty pounds when I ordered it making it a bit too expensive for use by a single cat. This is a good design and sturdy cat tree that should prove popular and useful – if you have the space for it, check the illustration showing the family members on the product page for the scale. Depending on price when available again I would rate this Umi. by Amazon Pet Palace with four stars for design and build quality.

Took me about 45mins to put together. Comes with several bolts and an Allen key... each are a bit soft; the Allen key was useless after I finished and it warped some of the bolt heads. So use your own key if you can. Aside from that gripe, the finished tower is actually sturdy and my moggie loves sitting in the top... it’s 6-foot tall. The jute material in the posts isn’t very thick, and going on experience with previous car scratch poles, this’ll last my cat about a year at most. The overall quality is okay, but could be improved.

Our new cat felt right at home with this climbing frame as soon as she discovered it.Standing at about 5’ tall, covered in fur with half a dozen in-built scratching posts, shelves to climb and sleep on and a small house to hide in near the top, the structure is solid and easy to build with every part well labelled and very clear instructions, as well as all of the tools needed.Although very stable the structure comes with a strap to anchor it to a wall if necessary (maybe because you have a very large cat).Hours of fun for adventurous felines.Four stars as no price available currently.

A GIANT Cat scratching post! It is really heavy too so be careful lifting the box. It took me about an hour to put it together and once it was up it is really sturdy but also really huge so you need a big room to keep it in. Cat loved it though!

My cat is a Siamese cross snow Bengal and very large. I’ve been looking for a large cat tree which can take his weight for ages. This can definitely live up to the job! It even takes my weight too!It has many levels and a hiding box which he loves! And a viewing platform for him to look down upon us (which happens often when we have guests!) he loves it and so I guess this gets a highly recommended with paws on!

It was much bigger than I had expected! Not horribly hard to assemble. I wanted a tree to keep my kitten entertained and hopefully, distract her from my countertops. It is very sturdy but not too heavy to move from room to room, and it has plenty of levels.
