Love Canada
I spent many summers as a kid visiting family in Ontario. These are just like the delicious ones I got back then.

Tasty BUT demolished during transit
Apart from being exhorbitantly overpriced, they arrived completely squished and destroyed. This is the second time I ordered these and they arrived in the same poor condition the first time. So while these are very tasty just know that at least half of them will be completely flattened and crumbled during shipping

Horrible packaging. Not fit to serve to guests
Tarts were in a box with about 15 peanuts which served.no purpose. The tarts can crushed and while edible and delicious, not suitable to serve to anyone. They are expensive and a very disappointing purchase. A little bit of packaging to protect these properly would have made a world of difference.,

Packaging needs improvement!
These are DELICIOUS! Perfect flaky crust and buttery sweet (but not overly so) filling. I've not been to Canada in ages but these taste just as great as I remember. The only problem is the packaging. The tarts are individually wrapped and arranged in a shrink-wrapped cardboard tray. This tray is placed in a slightly larger box, but without bubble wrap, packing paper or anything else to take up the extra space. As a result the tray slides and crashes around in the box during shipping.7 of the 9 tarts in my order were badly crushed and mangled. They still tasted great, but all of that mangled pastry for the price? Not sure I want to buy again. If they just secured that tray better it would really help.

Super sweet but just ok.
Many of the tarts were broken in transit. Luckily they are individually wrapped so the damage wasn’t a big deal for me but I would have been disappointed if these had been sent as a gift. I grew up eating butter tarts and was missing them since they don’t have them in the southern US. I found these too sweet and the sugar was crunchy in the tart “guts”. They were also very syrupy and the crust was a bit bland and collapsed easily. I’m surprised they are getting such high ratings. That said, they hit the spot since I hadn’t had any in so long. I think it’s always hard to measure up to what you had growing up. And at end of the day these are a boxed product so will never taste like a local bakery or homemade.

Damage to butter tarts
The butter tarts were delicious. Several of the tarts were damaged. I think maybe an improvement in the packaging around the tarts might keep them from getting damaged. The damage didn't affect the flavor at all.Thank you for helping me relive a fond memory of my childhood in Canada.
