A: Mine stays on the bottom rack of my oven. I use it for bread, rolls, frozen chicken nuggets, etc.

**Q: How thick is the stone?**
A: 1/2 inch

**Q: Does it get stained?**
A: All stone ovenware gets stained and actually the more you use it the better they work. Well-seasoned (stained) stones are the best!!!!

**Q: What is the maximum temperature in Fahrenheit that this can handle?**
A: I use it at 500 degrees with no problems.  Don't know how it works any higher.

These stones are awesome, thick & heavy duty.
