Luckily haven't had to use it in water yet. Seems good.

This is a must-have for any regular disc-golfer. Our local course has rescue poles scattered around, but pretty often the disc is out of reach of the poles and the Golden Retriever comes in handy (particularly on those cold days where the thought of getting knee-deep in freezing water to rescue a disc is not very appealing). While there are definitely scenarios when it doesn't work as well (uneven bottom or underneath a bank overhang), overall it's money well-spent. Plus it's kind of fun to use -- like practicing lassoing.

I read the reviews so tied a different knot on it b4 I used it. It takes a little bit to get used to but S long as I can see the disk even barely I can get it out. It is definitely saving me discs so I love it

Great item. Kiddo has wanted one for years. He loss a disc and a friend let him use one like this. Got it on the first try. So had to get him one. Comes with two different legnth cords. Went straight in his bag.

Nice idea, but difficult to use.

This retriever costs less than most discs. So if you use it once, you get your money's worth. This is the second one I've purchased.(first one fell out of my bag) I live in a place where just about every other course has water holes on it. So over the years, I've fished out hundreds of dollars worth of my discs. This thing is sweet!

My crew and I have recovered 25+ discs from the water with this thing! It has pod for itself several times over. Make sure you tie a stronger knot and ( my advice) tie the end of the rope to your belt or something secure to avoid losing the rope on a long throw.
