PROS: The cover is made from a decent quality material and feels nice to the touch. Stitching seems to be done good and from the looks of it I do not expect it to fall apart (I have used to for a week so far). As you can see from the photo you can arrange parts of the cover is such a way there is a gap for air intake, which is very useful if you work on anything but the table (in bed or keep laptop on your lap) - this way instead of covering the intake you actually allow the air to flow freely. As an additional benefit the additional space and the layer of cover protects you from the heat of laptop (but to be honest this one does not heat up nearly as high as other laptops I had).CONS: the quality of the cover is decent, but definitely not perfect and not even "good". You can can see on the photo the part of the cover near the camera does not "stick" and looks very cheap (which is sad because XPS is kinda a premium laptop). Also the way cover "attaches" to the laptop are basically two elastic bands near the bottom of the screen: first, again - they look out of place; second - they cover a tiny bit of the screen (if you have OCD this is going to drive you nuts, trust me!); third - to put laptop into the "there is an air whole below" position requires quite a bit of fiddling and shifting a bit can actually undo that (the podium for one of the "legs" is tiny - so you have to be very precise while positioning the laptop. It is about 1 inch wide, but should have been like 3 times wider)OVERALL: despite all the cons this seems to be the best cover I have found so far, to be honest there are not that many options to choose from in the first place. I think with a few fixes from the manufacturer: wide podium for the leg; better way to attach cover to the laptop (maybe plastic "clips") - it would be an awesome product

Says it fits Inspiron 7506 2N1. It does not. Had to fight with it to get it on the laptop and when I did, the fit and finish was terrible. It would not allow the lid to fold into tablet mode. The quality of the build is not too bad but do not buy it for a 2N1

No ventilation. Laptop gets extremely hot to the touch.

Even though the very top piece that goes above and across the top of the screen of my laptop does not lay perfectly along the top edge, I don't mind at all! I wanted a protective cover that was not hard plastic and looked professional and this cover is fabulous. I am looking for one for my smaller laptop now. The top piece that is slightly above the top of the screen is virutually impossible to get exactly right because of the design of the Dell laptop itself. Since the non-illuminating edge is so thin and houses the camera very near the top edge of the lap top lid, it is not easy to design a piece that secures the cover without obscuring the camera of the screen. They did and amazing job given this difficulty and I would certainly order again

Unable to find a protective rubberized cover for my Dell Inspirion laptop, I found this case and it works great. My laptop is aluminum and in cold weather, it can be very uncomfortable to hold onto. I can now comfortably use it in the winter time. Also helps to keep the laptop safe from rougher handling. I have to be careful as some of cats think the case makes a nice scratching pad....little stinkers....so, I have to hide the laptop at home. The price is right, in case I want to replace it by buying another one in the future. Am also a Teacher and the kiddos LOVE the Starry Starry Night decor of the case. I had read some reviews talking about the fit...it seems to fit fine on my computer. Overall, the case is a life sent gift to protect the laptop. I would highly recommend to others.

I broke down and had to buy a Dell, for school. Because of the lightweight laptop I needed a case. This one fits the computer properly, in most places. (Inspiron 7506 2n1) My biggest complaint is the folding of the case underneath to access keyboard. The material is already showing cracks and I have had this for exactly one week. Another annoyance and flaw is that the top part of case on the screen is all over the place. I ONLY use this computer in the house because I don’t think it would fair well for outside use. But to carry it from safe place A to safe place B it works. The case does stay closed once the flap has been folded and the magnets engage. I do use the computer on two floors of my home & it does stay closed. That’s a good feature.

It was too tight so I had to cut it a little to make room for my laptop to fit.

Seems the laptop could slip out at any point. I just use a lot of caution when taking it with me in public
