Great product!
It works great!! I was nervous that I would be getting yet another product that didn't work, but this dazer worked BETTER than I could have hoped. My neighbors have an aggressive, yappy do, and now she sees us a nd trots away. It didn't work the same way with the pack of dogs next door. When my hubby used it on them, they started biting and growling at each other! If I can't have quiet, I'll settle for that, lol. A great product!

It Works! How to Deal With Aggressive Dogs While Cycling – I emailed the K-II company, too.
How to Deal With Aggressive Dogs While Cycling – Review of the Dazer II Ultrasonic Aggressive Dog Deterrent Repeller Dazzer by Dazer Link to my review: http://deepwaterhappy.com/2018/12/27/how-to-deal-with-aggressive-dogs-while-cycling-review-of-the-dazer-ii-ultrasonic-aggressive-dog-deterrent-repeller-dazzer-by-dazer/Review of the Dazzer Dog Deterrent Device – I love this item SO much that it inspired me to mail the company to thank the owner. Then, I even joined the Amazon Associates program! That’s right! I actually joined an affiliate program just so I could recommend this to you – because when we are cycling, and a really bad dog is chasing me – I’m really scared. This device stops the dog. You don’t have to read any further if you don’t want; it works. If you want one, then buy one, and you’ll have it.A friend of mine recommended the Dazzer dog deterrent; she walks her beagle and collie regularly, and prefers to avoid altercations with other dogs while out exercising. When we’re cycling, there have been plenty of times that really scary big heavy-breathing, fast-running dogs have chased us. My instinct is to dismount, put the bike between me and the dog, and wait for the owner to get them under control. Read the comments at the bottom to see what the owner of the company says about my technique. I told him the dog is welcome to bite my bike! Eat carbon, you snarling beast! Just don’t bit me.My riding partner prefers to simply wear them out; out-run the dogs. Unfortunately, I’m not confident in my ability to do that. I have these visions of the dog grabbing my foot, dragging me off the bike, and biting me.In actuality, what happens when they chase me is I try to get away from them, which has resulted in me veering directly into oncoming traffic; potentially an even worse situation than fending off an angry dog. It’s pretty hard to rewire a natural instinct. So, we took my friend’s advice and bought a Dazzer from Amazon. It works. There. You don’t have to read any further. It works. So, my riding partner ordered one of these Dazzer II devices, and we started using it while walking our own dogs, then on cycling rides. Our county animal control is under-staffed and over-worked, so even calling repeatedly about nuisance animals takes time. It might take a week or two to see any results from a call, and we have more rides to finish before they might be able to contact the owners. We needed help now.The great thing about ordering items from Amazon is you get to read all those comments and reviews. We never even did that – we just ordered it! She said it worked, so we got one.Apparently, it’s really intended for discouraging barking. It does not “zap” the dog or send them an electrical impulse – it’s simply a high-pitched noise that breaks their concentration, and they don’t like it. Read the company owner Keith’s explanation below. We’ve been using it for a couple months now. I waited to write about it until we had tried it on several big mean nasty dogs, and it works. You point it at them, then click the button a second or two, and they back down, stop, and even turn and go home.Reading the reviews now on Amazon, I see that it works on small dogs, large dogs, dogs barking through fences, and even baboons! It looks like most of the buyers simply wanted a way to quiet their neighbors’ yappers. We started with one, which we kept by the dog leashes so we would not forget it. It worked so well on dog walks with aggressive dogs approaching our dogs, that we started taking it with us on bike rides. Due to the leashes being in one room, and the bikes in another, we forgot the Dazzer one day and happened to be chased by three separate dogs and a pair of dogs. Once home, I promptly ordered a second Dazzer so one could be kept with the leashes, and one with the bikes. We still call Animal Control about vicious dogs – we are not the only people on the road cycling or walking or running, so we don’t want anyone else getting hurt by a vicious dog.On a side note about vicious dogs – we live in a small town, and I know several of the ladies who work at the local insurance companies. Whenever we have a really bad incident; we look up the homeowner’s name, since home insurance is listed by name, not address, and we get the address for Animal Control. After making the call to AC, I then rip off a fast email to all the “insurance ladies.” Most homeowner’s insurance will not tolerate a vicious dog on the property, and we’ve found that many of those dogs belong to renters, so a landlord is even more motivated to deal with the situation promptly.Get a Dazzer. Read the directions. Try it out. It works. No, I don’t get any commissions, but I do get the satisfaction that you can ride, run, walk with more confidence that you are not going to be eaten alive by a big dog.Deep Water Happy is now a member of the Amazon Associates affiliate program; this means if you click on a link through to a retailer and purchase something, I may receive a very small amount or percentage of your purchase. This does not add any additional cost to you, the customer. Adding these affiliate links into a post happens after a review or opinion of the product has already been formed and so does not affect the products about which I choose to write. In fact, I was so excited about sharing this product to deter aggressive dogs chasing us while cycling, that later, I was inspired to join the Amazon Associates program because I so believe in the product and wanted to share it. The Dazzer was my first Amazon Associates affiliate product!4 CommentsHANNAH HARTLEY January 26, 2019 at 4:27 am ReplyI’ve been afraid to walk my dawgs as there are too many free roaming pups in my hood. I’ll definitely try one of these so we can walk again!KIMBERLY January 26, 2019 at 9:03 pm ReplyWhen dogs come running toward us while cycling or walking dogs; it’s scary!KIMBERLY January 3, 2019 at 10:18 pm ReplyHi Kim;Glad my reply lined up with what you experience! After 30 years of working with ultrasound and the DAZER we have seen and ‘heard’ nearly every situation. You are taking the best approach in my mind – choose your fight and in the end sacrifice the bike to the dogs jaws – not yourself! You are correct we do not have any presence on the social media scene – probably should but never got around to doing it.All the best – and regarding bears their hearing range is closer to that of humans – so the DAZER output will not be heard by the bear and it would not be likely to have any effect on it.Thanks again;KeithKIMBERLY January 3, 2019 at 10:17 pm ReplyBicycling presents some unique situations for the encounters with dogs. There are a number of “interesting” sounds that are produced when the airpasses through the spokes and past the frame itself as the bicyclist speedsalong. These sounds may in fact even be of interest to the dog and causethem to start to chase the bike as it speeds along. the initial interest mayeven be only curiosity but develop into a full blown chase mode as thebicyclist speeds up to try to outrun the dog and in turn creates even moresound. Thereby creating a real dilemma – is it better to slow down and hopethe reduction in sounds helps the dog lose interest or to speed up and tryto outrun the dog! The answer as I’m sure you are aware depends on thesituation and the dog’s mode. If you are on a familiar route you may knowthe dog is friendly and simply curious, but if you see the dog seemsaggressive or is snapping or barking fiercely the decision to slow down maybe a hard one to make – however it may prove helpful in getting the dog tolose interest. In any event the use of the DAZER is always a safer bet andwill usually help deter the dogs approach allowing you that extra time toget away. All the best and thanks again for the kind support. Safe riding !Take care;KeithK-II Enterprises

Works great to get my dog attention.
To date this device has really worked perfectly for us.My dog is smart but stubborn. He understands the comman “Leave it” but over time began to ignore me. I’ve only had to use it twice after the command for him to get back on the program. The silent tone startles him and I get his attention. You should only tap it for a second. It’s very easy to use.It also works through walls. My neighbors dog no longer barks all night.I must say when I was at the dog park I tried to use it when three dogs bullied one smaller one and it did nothing. I would not be confident that if a dog was out to attack me that this would make any difference. Also PLEASE use it responsibly and keep it away from your kids. It could be used in a very mean way.

Dog Repeller
Have not been able to use on an aggressive dog as of yet. The neighbor's guard dog has since been restrained as of getting this thing in the mail. This unit best used intermittently as it produces a variating sound versus holding the button on continuously. Since I am unable to hear the tone generated from this, I used my audio spectrum analyzer app on my smartphone to see the ultrahigh frequency it produces. It is best used at a maximum of 5 sec burst. As noted by the instruction manual, if the dog has some kind of hearing loss or is totally deaf, this will obviously not work on that kind of a dog. Some dogs are not affected by ultrahigh frequency sounds, so caution is needed when using this product. It does seem to work on deer though. And I have notice discomfort with field mice that enter into my home and I use this product. I have tried it on squirrels as well and have notice behavior changes. Can't say if it will work on a black bear as it is very rare to have them in my neck of the woods. This has a limited distance though & is very directional. It must be pointed directly at the animal.

Perfect solution for a stubborn chihuahua
I’ve only actually pressed the button a few times because my dog now shuts up when he sees the remote. I’ve tried a lot of other methods, but this seems to be the only thing that’ll get through to him. Pressing the button and saying a nice calm “hush” seems to do the trick. The directional part works, which is a very important part for me. I have 5 dogs, and none of the others will hear it as long as I only zap the loudmouth when he’s standing by himself. The other dogs can be next to me or behind me and they won’t hear it, so it’s safe to use as needed. How do I know they don’t hear it? Well they’re all a little skittish, and by going by the levitating reaction of the dog I use it on, I can pretty much guarantee the others don’t hear it.

A Worthy Investment for a Hyperactive Pup
My hyperactive dog hates this...it get's his attention. All we needed was an attention getter not something that would hurt our over active pup. I don't think we have hit the button more than three times; each time just a tap. Our hyperactive boy stops and then listens to his verbal command. His older brother is like "WHAT!"
