I ordered this to work with alexa, we have an amazon own plug works perfectly but is double the money. I read and reread all I could however, I didn’t understand the difference between 2.4 and 5 gHz. Ours is 5 so will not work. Double check your internet before you buy. Looks nice although ours was delivered with a slight crack and a rattle though that wouldn't have affected the performance and was going into a cupboard. I returned it for a refund.

I love the idea of having a smart home, perhaps I'm slightly lazy but I like to think of it as efficient. Dotted around our home, we have multiple lamps in hard to reach locations such as behind sofas etc and turning these on is such a pain. Imagine asking Alexa to do this for you - hands free lighting!Needing to download another app was slightly annoying but the setup as very simple - took a few minutes and the plug was setup. The included instruction manual was helpful too. Opened the Alexa app and it found the plug straight away. Make sure that the plug is accurately named in the Gosund app as this is what drives the Alexa name. For example - "Lounge Lamp".Turning on and off is as easy as saying "Alexa, turn on Loung Lamp" - the interaction and action is almost instant too so really happy there. You also have the ability to create routines and scedule timers for added flexibilty. This is the first step to a smart home and I will be experimenting with the capabilities of the plugs. The other benefit is that they are small in size and don't take up much room at all.Genuinely can't fault one bit and highly recommend them.

This is a neat compact item, looks solid enough. However I could not get it to work as, although my WiFi router is dual band, my phone only connects to the router using 5GHz & that cannot be changed. I tried a number of times & at a relatives house on their kit & same problem. The instructions appear pretty concise but It certainly does appear that both the router & phone need to be connecting through a 2.4GHz signal. Shame really as it looks good value. Returned for a prompt refund so overall I have no complaints.

There’s a few things I really like about this plug1. It is so easy to set up and the app is really simple to use2. It’s much smaller than other smart plugs I’ve used3. The set up with Alexa is really simple and quick and being able to control the plug with Alexa is absolutely brilliantI’ve bought more expensive smart plugs before but this is the best one, it’s the best price, easiest to set up and works the best with no glitches

We bought this for the baby monitor cam in the little beasts bedroom. The floorboards are creaky in there and there was always the risk of waking her up when going in last thing at night to turn the camera off at the plug.One smartplug later...You have to download the gosund app and pair it with your alexa device.I can now turn it on and off using my alexa device, the gosund app or the alexa app.I'm going to get at least one more for the Christmas lights.

Genuinely love these little things, easy to set up, feel very well made, intigrate well with google home, the time function I like as it let's me set the kids screens to go off at the right time should I forget, but also Google home voice integration from anywhere.. A bargain for smart enabling your home. And an extra piece of mind if you attach to lights ect for when away from home.... Only downside I've had is occasionally they disconnect from network, but they reconnect by the self if left or a quick power cycle sorts it.

After a previous smart plug stopped working after a couple of years service, I bought one of these because, frankly, it was one of the cheaper ones and worked with Amazon Alexa. Installation was easy - the plug is set up through the Smart Life app and it detected and installed first time. After set up and adding in the Alexa app, there is no need to use the Smart Life app any further.Since the initial purchase, I've bought two further plugs; one for Christmas lights and one to switch a dozen or so devices in the my office. These include an electric radiator which I was concerned about, but the plug is rated to switch 2990 Watts, and works fine. Both of these installed without any issues, and I noticed were added to Alexa automatically.So all-in-all, at this price you can't go wrong!

We had bought a set of Gosund LED strip lights previously so we had already set the app up, and I was looking for some smart plugs to be able to control my Christmas lights and came across these. They were on offer so I bought 3 for the price of 1 of my first smart plug (different brand) and hoped for the best.They arrived and were easy to install, the only problem I found was connecting to my home deco wifi network but since found that if I plugged it into a plug nearer to the wifi unit, it would set up quickly, then I could replug it to the socket that I wanted it in. Once it was set up, it was easy to use the app and set routines for my Christmas lights to come on and go off - and all at the same time, it looks great and they work with Alexa too.In regards to the “thickness” , the plug is slightly larger than a standard plug which means that if you have one in an extension that have more than one socket close together (not spaced out or separated by a switch), then you may find you can’t plug anything in the sockets next to it.I would buy these again.
