The Anne of Green Gables Cookbook

Had an AoGG viewing party where I served raspberry cordial and the cowcumber boats. They were both a hit based on taste AND nostalgia. I love how the cookbook breaks down the instructions for even very young cooks and that the author cites which part of the novels mention the foods presented.

This book was a gift to my granddaughters who love “Ann with an e.” They raved about it & started making recipes! A+

The recipes I made came out just as described. All of them have been pretested. I like that they were put together by a family heir of Elizabeth Montgomery. The raspberry cordial was packed with raspberry flavor! Much better than the bottled product you can buy in PEI

As an Anne of Green gables super fan I was extremely excited to receive this book!

This is a wonderful cookbook! It has many fabulous recipes each with a quote from the book. The recipes are fairly simple and very easy to understand. It has many full color glossy pictures and I would recommend this to everyone! Some of the recipes are: Creamy Vegetable Soup, Splendid Lettuce Salad, Chocolate Caramels, and Light and Creamy Vanilla Ice Cream. Also, this cookbook was written by Kate Macdonald, L.M. Montgomery's granddaughter, which I think is very cool.

The graphics is beautifully old style and the recipes are really inspired by the Anne's books. However they're designed for children and my grownup side was childishly disappointed with it.

Excellent make beutifall food

A family member bought me a copy back when I was 12. (I remember being very excited) This is a nice collection of well-written traditional recipes for soup, salad, chicken ECT and various deserts. Solid, and not too exotic or difficult.I have tried a lot of them. Detailed directions make it a fun experience.We have made the plum pudding many times with great results, and I routinely make the chicken.
