Very effective and our cat loves it!!
We have a 10-year-old cat who has started getting mats lately. We tried 3 different cat brushes with very little success. We tried bathing him and actually caused more mats to form. I saw this and recognized it as similar to a brush my parents had for their cat when she was elderly and couldn't groom herself. I bought it thinking "If this doesn't work, we'll have to take him to a groomer." Let me tell you. The first time we used it, so much excess hair came out! Our cat instantly fell in love with it and started begging us to use it. About two weeks later having used it almost daily, we've gotten several of the worst mats out and his coat is looking better! Is it a substitute for a professional grooming? No, probably not. We may still need to get our kitty some extra help. But it worked far better than we expected, and it turned out to be something he enjoys. Highly recommended!!

Hi spirited tabby cat loves this brush
I just received this grooming rake. Itโs absolutely wonderful. I have a three year-old tabby short hair. Iโve used different brushes on her. No fur/hair came off. . Oh my gosh this rake is remarkable. Iโll try to take a picture. Itโs a wonderful wonderful product. I canโt believe how much hair/fur came off her. Iโm not finished. Sheโs still shedding, but sheโs a sassy little girl and if I keep it off, sheโll attack me too funny So Iโll try another day

Works so well
For the price I wasnt expecting much but omg it is so good for my Silky terrier's spay coat! She gets tangled and matted super fast as soon as im finished brushing because of the hormone change after spaying and this is helping me manage it

Works like a charm!
This loose fur tool is wonderful and one of the best Iโve hadโฆincredible how much of the loose undercoat it gathers! The piles of fur from my two care kitties is unbelievable. The best part they seem to like it ,too, very much!

A must-have for long-haired pets!
Wow! i couldn't believe how well this thing works - my long-haired (Norwegian Forest mix) cat is a wiggle-worm and doesn't like to be groomed, so it is a struggle, especially to get to the mats stuck underneath his belly. I saww this and decided to get one to see if it would help. Not only does it work well, but he actually likes it! At one point he rolled over on his tummy and let me groom all the mats and fur! Amazing. I was also stunned at the amount of fur that came out - considering i do brush him and have another comb that i use regularly. See the ball of fur in one of the photos. He still has his 'mane' though so it didn't pull out too much. Since it is high summer here and hot, he seems more comfortable as well. I like that the tool has two sides - one for dealing with mats in his fur, and the other for pulling out the loose undercoat. I got the small size which is perfect for cats and easy to hold. I did notice that grooming him produced a lot of static and the fur clings to everything! I think that is a factor of the dry summer weather and the grooming action, not so much the tool itself. It is easy to remove the hair from the tool to clean it - the hair doesn't stick to the tool which is nice.

Tortures my cat. Removes mats by "ripping" them out, aka torture.
I got this for my cat, who is shorthaired, but overweight, and so cannot reach her back to clean. Subsequently, she's developed mats from her mid-back down to her tail. I got this de-matting comb because I mistakenly thought it had little razers in between the tines, which cut through the mats, but I was wrong about that. Nonetheless, this de-matter has not worked for my cat!!! I started at the bottom, hence closer to her tail, to more gently comb out the mats, and this comb grabbed her matts like it was trying to pull her hair out. She immediately shrieked out, and thank goodness she forgave me. I can go on trying to use this comb as gently as I can, but it seems impossible right now. I have a detangling brush for myself, and it's nothing like this de-matter comb, my detangling brush has many small tines, similar to an ordinary cat brush with the many metal tines. If I tried to use a wide toothed comb after I washed my hair, which would be comparable to the wider space tines of this dematter-comb ... it would grab the tangles and hurt my head, too!!! So, I don't know about this de-matter, it just seems very brutal and tortuous by design. I'm sure going forward, after her mats are untangled, this comb could work, but for now, it really seems impossible to make it work.

Nice size for cat, seems to work well on removing undercoat & loose fur
Purchased to groom out a long haired cat (just adopted her) that has not been groomed in a while. She tolerated the gentle brushing for a short while and the brush did remove a remarkable about of dead & undercoat. The challenge will be the larger matts in her fur ... but thus far it is tolerated and is removing a lot of fur

My cat LOVES this brush!
My very picky long haired cat LOVES this brush! It's great for getting at her undercoat and doesn't pull hard. She was apprehensive at first but I just sprayed it with cooled catnip tea and she loves it so much.
