Training For Reigning

Just finished reading this book a few days. Excellent book that is packed with great information but most importantly th tools to succeed in ministry. This books helps you see the plans of enemy and what to expect as you succeed in ministry. The books focuses on becoming mature believers in Christ.Pros - 1. lots of biblical example2. The author did a good job making it applicable to readers lives today.3. Easy to understand lCons - chapters are very lengthy with multiple sub titles.

From time to time I find some of the author's statements to be a little harsh, but I realize that everyone sees things differently. This little consideration is greatly outweighed by the wealth of knowledge, observation, direction, and challenges presented in its pages. It makes me think a great deal, but it also presents the insights to training for "reigning" in clear, concise language, with a message you cannot ignore. It is clearly scripturally based. This is a keeper. Mark it up, summarize, read it over and over.

Mr. Godwin explains in detail the process and struggles of training to reign. From shepherd to a king is a journey that must directed by God.

If there were 6 stars I would have chosen that rating !!!!! I would recommend this read to ANY christian. The way Rick Godwin brought together the spiritual training of David and our spritual training is nothing less than devine revelation. It is just what we need to reach the fullness of God in our lives.Easy to understand,very helpful, I just can't say enough about it !! I will read it over and over. I even bought 7 more for the women in our little group.

If you are pastor a leader this a must read. I think it will save you a lot heartache and headache.

It will make you really think about your walk with God and growing up in Him. Going from Bethlehem to Addullam to Hebron and then to Zion, following the life of David.

Once you read it, you won't forget it. As you live your life, you will remember the steps to maturing in Christ. Very effective. I would consider this a classic.

This was an amazing read. I learned so much!!!

Covers personal need to grow as a Believer using the life of David as an example - describes how David moved (and we must move from the metaphors) of Bethlehem, to go to Adullam, then to Hebron, and finally to Zion/Jerusalem.Explains how this is necessary for each Christian in becoming a mature spiritual Believer.Also outlines how the disciplined dedicated Believer serves God rather than looking to be served, and how a Believer can benefit the Church. The book teaches about Church government, authority and personal responsibility, and how obedience is vital for our Victory in Christ.A real eye-opener of a book that can be easily read and often returned to. Highly recommended.

Reading Training for reigning is like God taking you through a practical training process again. If you have been a Christian for over 30 years, you become used to the church system and take many things for granted. In January 2022, I read this book, and my perspective on character and relationships was broadened. There were many practical examples by the author to emphasize his teachings.I would recommend this book to anyone seeking to know the lord deeper and seeking higher character development that can withstand "the spirit of this age"

I finished the book and started reading it again. I have also bought 3 additional copies to give to other leaders...This in its self is a testimony of the value I place on the book. The contents of the book could be considered as prophetic (although it is not) for the detail it gives to experiences I have had and that of another individual who is also reading the book. prophetic also because such detail is given in the book of what a person who has begun a journey of leadership can expected in the future. truthfully I have not read a book that appears to be so accurate of the events that has and will follow a leaders who has committed their life to serving and following......A must read for all leaders
