Serious Manufacturing Issues
DO NOT BUY THIS LAPTOP!This is my third time returning this EXACT laptop for manufacturer problems right out of the box.The first two purchased from Microcenter: laptop #1 had a broken wifi card and after a day the ethernet connection died. Laptop #2 had another hardware issue and would turn off immediately if it was unplugged from its power source. I figured Microcenter had a bad batch so like an idiot I bought a third one here. It was immediately getting super hot while I was watching Netflix with no addl. programs running- so much that I was afraid it would damage my countertop- and PredatorSense wasn’t showing any overheating. The mic was also broken from day one. I didn’t return it immediately because I was in the middle of a semester in grad school and couldn’t afford time lost without it. I bought a cooling pad and moved on- but by the end of the semester the screen is consistently going black after 1-5 minutes of very light gameplay in Unity.Acer has a SERIOUS manufacturing negligence issue with this one. Don’t do what I did and waste serious amounts of time, energy and money on this.

Great gaming laptop!!
Below is my original review and I am coming back two years later with a few updates.I only use this computer for Sims & work which doesn’t take up too much space. I’m not hard on the laptop and have never been since getting it. You can’t use this without the charger which I knew going in about gaming laptops but it’s gotten worse and when I take it off the charger the longest I can use it is 30 minutes and if I put battery saver on I can get about 45-60 minutes. My keyboard continues to light up even though I changed the settings to be static, that option is now malfunctioned and I just haven’t done the research to fix it. I’ve had it black out several times. The fan is extremely loud and runs even when I’m not playing games. And most recently the charger cord stopped working and I’m now I need to get another because I’m not buying a new pc. I did however just purchase a new MacBook because I miss being able to take my laptop around portably. I will still use this laptop for my Sims & that’s about it.I did so much research before I decided to buy this laptop. It’s pricier than others but I wanted something that would last. I don’t regret my purchase at all! I absolutely love this computer. My two cons are the fans are loud & it still gets pretty warm when I’m gaming, and the battery life isn’t super long. BUT these were things I saw in other reviews before I purchased it so I wasn’t surprised or caught off guard.

Black screen problems.
I bought this laptop while deployed overseas. Overall it was decent. I was able to play games that I've either always wanted to play or never got the opportunity to due to lack of specs. It's relatively quiet but heats up quick depending on the game. I've had to send this laptop back to the manufacturer 3 times now because they won't fix the issue of it randomly going to black screen. The key board lights up and you can still hear sound but I have to hard reset every time this happens. Sometimes it may take an hour or so before I can turn it back on to reload everything up. Acer has either done nothing or factory reset it while reloading everything despite all the info I've given them. Just be careful when purchasing this computer. They have been known apparently to have these black screen faults.

Works great for gaming and editing
The screen may be a little flimsy feeling but still a solid laptop

Works great!
Runs amazing, has had almost no problems. Great for gaming, great for work.Only problem I have ever had was the keyboard stopped working once. The solution ended up being plugging in a second keyboard and opening up the BIOS. Never had the problem since, so I feel like there is no reason to take it down from 5 stars.
