The unit does appear waterproof with o-ring seals with an all aluminum body. The light is pretty bright considering the size, the 1800 lumen rating may be accurate. If you leave the unit on constantly, the aluminum body gets pretty warm. You can tell when the battery starts to get low because the body cools off, then 10min later the light dims rather quickly over 3min. A charge will last over an hour constantly on the highest brightness setting. There are several settings, high, medium, low, blinking, SOS. A full push of the on-off button turns it on and off, and slight push of the on-off changes the setting. You cannot buy the unique rechargeable Lithium Ion battery for this in your local store in the US, it's advised to buy extras from Amazon with the torch if you need extras. That said, I like the battery size and technology. The size is between a AA and C size battery, and a little longer. You get a wall charger to charge the battery, and it's the typical Li-ion charger setup that stop charging after it reaches full charge, and the light turns from red to green, signaling the charge is complete. There is no "zoom-able" capability in the lens, it's fixed. I was hoping to have the ability to focus the light from a flood to a spot, like my Mag-lite, but it definitely doesn't support that. I'm not sorry I bought the light, it's a pretty impressive flashlight for the money, but there was another light with an orange front rim that's cheaper and claims zoomable lens support, same lumen and same battery type. I bought one of those also to compare, yet to receive.

I got this flashlight mainly for my work bag. I do IT work, and i needed a good flashlight when im in various parts of the building having to trace, or find cables, working inside a workstation or server. This flashlight works GREAT. Extremely bright. I kind of wish it used standard batteries so i could easily change out the batteries as needed if the charge runs low. This Flashlight comes with a rechargeable battery of a size i haven't seen before, but it also includes the charger. It's a small trade off though having a nice flashlight that works well, feels very sturdy and is Good priced.

Two months occasional use and the led lamp failed.

Awesome light, built tough. Only complaint would be the clip. I bought 2 lights and both clips have broke off, my work is farming and ranching so it's probably my fault. 5 stars.

I give this 4 out of 5 stars because I love how bright the light is but if you want the high beam and accidently go past it. You have click all the way through the medium, low, strobe, and sos before you get back to the bright. A turn style selector would have been much better. The battery was great. I wanted a light for my vehicle that I can recharge if I don't use it as often. I have a power outlet in my vehicle so it works out perfectly. Other that that this flashlight was exactly what I wanted.

I have to say that this is the BEST flashlight I have ever owned. It is small enough for me to carry it around the house (it follows me everywhere) yet it is one STURDY flashlight. The battery is just like my E-Cig batteries so I can swap them out if needed. These are so awesome I am getting ready to buy 2 more!Thank you Meco for making these !! !

Back in 2011 I purchased a very nice led spotlight, the Cyclops CYC-9WS Thor-by-Sirius 9-Watt Rechargeable LED Spotlight. It was very highly rated and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. When I bought this little flashlight I didn't expect too much from a small light such as itself. Wow, was I pleasantly surprised. This little UltraFire is as bright as the Cyclops! It also has a purer white light than the Cyclops. I have not tested it to see how long it lasts on the supplied battery, but I will and update the review.

I was skeptical, but this deal can't be beaten. This is the brightest flash light I have ever owned. It holds its charge very well and I haven't charged it since I first got it in the mail. It's still very bright. I just ordered a couple of extra batteries for it as well since they are so cheap to get.This light feels rugged, looks rugged and might even be rugged!

i got it and the charger don't not work i put in a battery a green light should come on plug it in to the wall and a red light comes on i think they are going to send another charger plus i bought other flash lights with chargers i got 4 chargers only one works i think they should see if it works or not be for they ship it

This was the third or fourth time I ordered from these guys and got the wrong flashlight. I even made sure I hit the same order twice and still got 2 different flashlights. The price is right but all but one of the flashlights stopped working or fell apart shortly after receiving them. Be warned.

I'm not sure of the true output of this light, but it's very bright, and I actually use it as a modeling light when doing kitty portraits for the local cat rescue group. My wife used it the other night to find something underneath a heavy piece of furniture and couldn't believe how bright it was! Good value.

Use this at work almost daily, when fully charged it creates an almost blinding light for its size, charger is a little flimsy but it works, no complains.....I also own an older Fenix PD30, but this Ultrafire flashlight is brighter. I am ordering one more soon.

I have several versions of this flashlight. Every one of them is a good product except for this one. For some reason after putting in the battery the contacts are a little finicky. Too right or too loose and the flashlight won't work. And the "sweet spot" tends to move.
